Has anyone else used Android Auto?

Having serious issues and so are a lot of people on Reddit where no audio will play (phone calls still work) with no clear fix or root cause issue.

I decided last night to jump on the Note 10+. I originally purchased an S10+, my first ever Android/Samsung device after 12 years of iPhones.

I originally opted for the S10+ because coming from the iPhone X, the S10+ just seemed like a huge phone to me, but after using it and getting used to the size, it became second nature. Then I started thinking that the Spen would be nice and what difference does the addition another .4" display make. So, I have a Note 10+ on the way.

As far as missing the iPhone, I haven't thought about it or reached for it except to retrieve a piece of information from an app where there wasn't a Samsung equivalent. I was really worried that I would miss the iPhone, but surprisingly haven't. Particularly the durability issues of the iPhone. I am hoping the Note 10+ proves to be a little more rugged and durable. I am not talking about dropping. I rarely ever drop a phone. But using my iPhone X with a Quadlock on my bike would frequently break the image stabilization. After having the camera replaced for the 4th time, I decided to try something else this time around.

Make sure your sms/mms are not screwed up by apple account, not that you use them much in UK :)

In what way does the Apple Account screw up the sms/mms?

I am doing an experiment This post was made entirely in cursive using my S- pen! Wow hand writing recognition is amazing it is not perfect but you need to realize my handwriting is horrible But with practice this could become a viable method of enteri-ng posts. I need to get better with punctuation. I like that it takes my atrocious cursive handwriting and figures out the correct word and spelling ( most of the time)
Yeah! It's amazing! My handwriting is terrible, but it still works amazing for me for three different languages (three completely different scripts).

Ahh fun times, fun times. I remember the first time I bought an Android phone, after being a total Apple head since....the Apple II we used in elementary school :D I did the unthinkable and got the Note II. How I loved that phone. It still works!!! I used it not long ago on a trip to South America, to avoid prancing around the streets of rural Argentina with shiny new tech...

Anyway, I digress. Your post just made me remember what an adventure it felt like the first time I bought a non-iPhone. Congrats on your purchase and I'd love to hear more about how you get on with the Note.

Just wondering why it drops so fast from 100%I went from iPhone xs to note 10, and the battery is dropping fast from 100 to 90 then it starts to behave

I understand due to Imessages your routed via Apple and not your carrier to get the benefit of the I part

I think you have to de-register your iphone else you may not receive sms etc

Just Google it to find out how as I am not that familiar :)

PS you will appreciate the tighter integration with android on your Surface devices and DEX its all getting better :D

I switched from PC to Macbook Pro in 2006 and BlackBerry to iPhone in 2007 and had been all-in on Apple. But I have been slowly working my way back out. While I did pick up a 2018 MBP last year, I just couldn't get excited about this years iPhone event and have been using more and more the Surface Pro I picked up a couple of years ago. So I decided to take another step back from the Apple eco and pick up Samsung phone and a pair of Galaxy Buds to replace the Air Pods. I thought what the heck, I have 14 days to try it and if it doesn't work out I can return and wait for the September iPhone event, but I found I really like the phone and the buds :)

OK. I think I know what you mean. I had to disable Apple Messaging on my iPhone X, iPad, iMac, MBP in order for Apple Messaging to function properly on the S10+

Just picked mine up a day early. Going to set it up tonight and pair my galaxy watch up

The iPhone battery meter isn't accurate from the top end. That's why you can use an iPhone for half an hour before it drops to 99%. 100% on the phone can be anywhere between 100% down to I believe 96% or 97%. Not sure exactly the reasoning for this, but it's a known issue and people have documented it on here with data from coconut battery.

Well it’s here

[doublepost=1567510633][/doublepost]The aura glow is beautiful
Congratulations to you (and all other new owners). It’s so funny to see how much your opinion of Aura Glow has changed. It reminds me of how my reaction to the notch on the 3XL changed. I considered it an abomination in the leaked photos but now I think it’s cute and will miss it if I update. :p

I hope you enjoy it and remain happy with your purchase.

I’m finding my Xr and Note 10 battery life roughly comparable. Like @tonybarnaby posted, Apple does something screwy with its battery indicator. I will start my morning off at 100-98% for an hour. As I go through the day texting, reading, catching up on emails the battery will gradually go down. When about 1/4 to 1/3 of the battery has drained it falls fast. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing, it looks like I’m draining the phone faster all of a sudden. Same thing with my iPad Mini 5. I’ve got a killer headache at the moment so my memory kind of stops at that point but I think my other Apple devices have done this too.

My Note 10+ shows a pretty consistent rate of drain all day. It doesn’t just all of a sudden fall off a cliff unless some app starts hogging the battery. When I notice drain increasing I can just go into the battery maintenance panel and find the offending app and stop the vampirism.

One of my favorite theme designers is aires design, just search the colour you prefer in the Galaxy themes app and you will be surprised with the results.
