Is good lock only available in us ?
I think its United States, South Korea, Australia, Canada, Singapore, and the United Kingdom

However a chap at XDA has written an app called Nicelock that is in the store. Goodlock and Nicelock are just an app launcher interface for all the apps associated

With this you can download then side load the apk's easily and see the status

The nicelock app is heavy with adds on the free version but given you are not playing with it constantly its tolerable

also

Not all apps work with Note 10

To DL the APK's go to https://www.apkmirror.com/?post_type=app_release&searchtype=apk&s=multistar and search for each app eg multistar dl the apk and install you will then see its status in nicelock

Well I’m going to go and have a look at both the Galaxy watch and the first gen Galaxy watch active this morning. If I like the Galaxy watch more I’ll buy it but if I like the active more then I’ll preorder the active 2.

I got the galaxy watch 46mm cellular model from gumtree. Not as good as the Apple Watch with the iPhone imo but seems decent enough.

Hey all, this might be a wonky question to ask, but is there any way to have my screen turn on with notifications? What I mean is let's say you send me a text message, is there a setting somewhere that will send the phone to the lock screen instead of it just popping up on the AOD?
In lockscreen settings actually tap on the notifications toggle and options will appear its not just an on/off selection :)

I have noticed that happens on quite a few settings you think its just a toggle selection but then another page appears with more options, if in doubt just tap :)

What are the main differences between the Apple Watch and iPhone vs the Galaxy watch and Samsung phone?

To me its AOD, customisation and endurance

The Galaxy watches work on IOS and Android and easier to navigate when on the move than fiddling with a crown

Apples main push was ECG but Active 2 is catching up on this, there are more wrist bands for the AW

I own mechanical rectangular and round watches but the AW shape I find odd the Samsung ones appeal to me more

Not really bothered about ECG feature. I have that in my series 4 and I was only interested in it using it the first few times. I do want to test out sleep tracking.

I only use my Apple Watch for notifications, replying to messages, mobile payments, setting reminders and using the built in flashlight.

All the core app type functions are similar, sleep tracking is better with Samsung :)

Don't under estimate AOD :) and customisation is generally free opposed to collecting watch straps :D to get some individual styling

I think active would make more sense for you...even I felt the galaxy watch was too bulky

It's confirmed that there are a few bugs with Android Auto and Note 10s from reading around and my experiences.

Mainly that it's very easy to end up causing the audio for apps (excluding phone calls) to not work.

Bit annoying as I rely on it daily.

Payments with Samsung Pay and Watch are really poor in the UK as very few banks support it still.

I got the OG Watch Active as the Galaxy Watch was far too big (THICK) and didn't fit in my shirt sleeves very easily. GWA is much smaller and thinner. I wasn't too fussed losing the bezel rotation as the price was so good, and I barely touch the screen as is. I use it for notifications and also sleep tracking / alarm clock.

My bank supports Samsung Pay so no issues there. Does it work reliably in the UK on the watch if your bank supports it?

It works flawlessly on my Apple Watch (apart from on the tube).

I went with the Samsung upgrade program this time, saves me spending £1000 in 1 go and leaves the door open to upgrade next year (who am I kidding, the door will be flung open next year! Lol)

Recycling sites offering £625 for my Xs max 64gb unlocked, I’ve locked that in for 14 days as I expect that to nose dive when new iPhones are announced next week.
May try selling privately for a bit more first though

They have an agreement with TFL and do not forget you can always use Google Pay and with Samsung pay your not just limited to NFC with your phone (Note 10+) but I do not have 1st hand knowledge in UK/London

Yeah from what I know it works fine. I thought Apple Pay works on the tube fine?

You can't actually make the status bar disappear, my mistake for describing it that way. What you can do is, get rid of all the indicators, giving the effect of no status bar. I don't like static images that are always present regardless of the app you have open. So I got rid of them. To see how, look at my following post after the one you quoted. I was replying to another poster who had the same question. Hope that helps.

Thanks! I meant the buttons on the bottom. If I switch to gesture navigation it shows me the three lines. Are they removable?

On the phone it works well but on the Apple Watch it’s a bit finicky.

Might just go with the Galaxy watch active then. Annoyingly they don’t have any Samsung smart watches on display at PC world. So I didn’t get to see any. Had fit bits and other watches but no Samsung watches. The Samsung Galaxy watch looks too clunky for me, even the 42 mm rose gold one.

Indeed you can, it's in the display settings. Easiest way to get there, go into you quick panel drop down at the top, hold down the Navigation Bar toggle, and you're there. Then uncheck gesture hints.

Yeah I got that update when I first got the phone. Honestly I don't notice any difference so far.

I see, thanks! I don't know how I missed that!
[doublepost=1567440073][/doublepost]I noticed this phone works with my Huawei Watch much better than either of my HTC did.

I have to admit, I’m very impressed with the Note 10+ after watching many YouTube reviews of the phone. I know I would use the S Pen often, as there has been several times where I wished I could use one with my iPhone 8 Plus.

But I really disliked my experience with the Galaxy S8+. I absolutely hated it. The phone became almost unusable within six months; the lag was atrocious and the battery performance went down significantly. Also, I broke the screen on the phone and I had to wait *two* weeks for a replacement because Samsung had to wait for a new shipment to come in. They said the phone would be delivered the next day after I sent in my phone—after waiting for five days for the phone to be delivered, I had to call them to see what’s going on and that’s when they told me about the shipment issue. After I got the replacement phone, I switched back to iPhone.

I know the Note 10+ will lose its value in several months dollar-wise, so I might hold off and see what people say about its performance then before deciding on anything.

As a fellow tea drinker, I think you are taking the smart route here. Good going.

I love how Samsung took routines from Good Lock, and integrated it into One UI as Bixby Routines. A total must have for me. More manufacturers can learn from Samsung with creating their own apps like Good Lock, that add features the user can give input on, and the features that show the most value to the users, can be integrated into the OS. When it comes to customization only, the less third party apps needed, the better.
