Other countries where messaging is not bundled are more aware of associated costs and avoid this, hence popularity of Whatsapp/Line etc

I’ve worn my Apple Watch everyday since launch day in 2015. I’m now wondering if I’ll be able to hold out until the 20th until the galaxy watch active 2 is released or if I should just get the galaxy watch.

I wouldn’t even bother trying to send anything other than text in iMessage because I’ll be charged 55 pence. 95% of my contacts are android users so I just use WhatsApp. Even the 5% of iPhone users I know use what’s app.
Same here. All my friends and anyone new I meet usually communicate with me on WhatsApp before ever making a call. No one sends me text messages.
Active 2 sounds interesting with simulated rotating bezel and better heart monitoring etc and styling is a bit more trendy and less traditional
Would like to get the Mrs one to go with her S10+ I just gifted on but despite great deals here on Samsung Phones watches and laptops seem to lag or never come
Although I get quite a few sms per day they are always marketing from carriers, OTP, 2 step verification or grab/uber confirmations for taxi's and food orders
I probably get a dozen real sms a year from the wife or family when we arrive in other countries till we pick-up hotel wifi or local sim. MMS maybe 1 or 2 a year LOL

Well there is a dual wireless charger free gift for the active 2 pre order over here so at least we got something. However some years ago Samsung stopped selling computers in Europe. A shame as I wouldn’t mind another Samsung chromebook. I had to series 3 and it was great. It was a good precursor to my MacBook Air.

Note 10 is a great phone...I’m been tempted but I know I left S10 plus and back to the iPhone for a reason and know I would do so again as it’s not IOS and doesn’t sync as well with everything else.
Its the most dominant even in the US despite the perceived Imessenger popularity

I do wish the Note had come out in March / April and not August.
I haven't been as content with a device, probably ever, and I absolutely love using this phone.
It's so annoying that iPhone release is round the corner and the Pixel 4 is not far off either. I know I'm going to be tempted by both, when really I should just be ignoring both of those, content in the knowledge that this Note 10 is everything I need and more.
I am so glad they ended up making a smaller Note this time. It's just an amazing size and feel in the hand.
My only criticism of the Note is the battery and the camera is sometimes a little off with moving subjects. So unless I've got a biscuit to make my dog sit still with, I often end up with blur. The Pixel and iPhone are better at capturing moving subjects. But it's a very small niggle. I find the Note camera to be super reliable in almost all other aspects.
I will try to remain strong during 'Techtember and Techtober' but, well... You guys know the struggle!

Yes just ignore and remember that at least your phone doesn’t have a huge square on the back.
The Pixel 4 should be very interesting since its pure android
However the problem is that Pixels seem to have long term issues like poor battery life and slowing down after wa while. Hopefully they have sorted it out.
That’s why I pulled the trigger on the Note now because even if the Pixel starts shipping in mid October, there’s no way I’d want to get the first batch, based on history. So we’d be looking at December earliest.
The Note 9 and kept its value better than the S series too so if later in the year, I really want to switch, I don’t think it would be quite as costly to swap.

Thanks for the tip! How do you make the navigation bar disappear? I know how to make it gesture mode but cant figure out how to make everything disappear. At the moment I have navigation bar set up with four buttons using the Good Lock app.
I wish we used WhatsApp in the states. Out of the hundreds of contacts I have, I'd venture to say 90% are on Verizon and we use SMS/MMS. iMessage was really nice and most of my family and friends are on iPhone, but I am enjoying the Note 10 and Android too much to go back to iOS.

For example when you upgrade your iPhone iOS is so good at syncing everything over so your new phone is as exactly like the last back you did on your old one/
However android doesn't do that as well. I remember when I factory reset my s10 plus and not everything was restored like apps etc...
