That's a good point, i would be all for removable batteries but unfortunately the industry has taken a different approach. With that being said a 4000mah battery will go a long way to making it a mute point, will be enough for a day of heavy usage.

Man o man, once Samsung puts its new battery tech into practice, I would love to have a 6000mAh battery on a 6.5 inch Note/Galaxy S Pro. Done.

Sadly the obsession with thinness and waterproofing makes a removable battery very challenging to achieve. Removable parts also add quality complications and naysayers would argue that portable chargers negate the need for removable batteries.

I disagree. Given the sheer variety of phones Samsung makes, it would be great if they did a "professional" phone with removable batteries that can be picked up anywhere that sell "genuine batteries".

I have a keen eye on the Note 9, but the curved screen scares me. We are moving the beginning of next year and will be close to the beach and the thought of sand coming in contact with the screen scares me. I had an S7 Edge and I could not get a screen protector to adhere to the screen, maybe it was the brand. I'm afraid the Note will be the same. Anyone have issues with a screen protector on the Note 8?

My provider here in Sweden (Telenor) has removed the Note 8 from their available phones. I'm not 100% sure but I think they've always kept the previous model of a phone on the site all the way until the new one was actually announced. Could this mean they're aiming for a super early availability date of the Note 9? Yeah u bet I might be grasping at straws here but I'm getting a bit too excited so sue me :p

Samsung with screen edge has problem with protector, period. Unless you have money to play with high end screen protector. Unless they come out with flat screen, i will be out of samsung.

It’s honestly not that serious. I used a liquid application protector for my previous S9 and it was fine.

pretty much all we need to know or already know is in this latest leak. Just need USA prices...

pre-order goodies too
There will be two options: 15,000 Fortnite V-Bucks or a 'Value Pack' with the AKG Y50BT headphones, a clear case, a car mount, a car charger, and a cable for dockless DeX. Throw Samsung an additional $99, and you'll get both.

Get a protector that doesn't go around the edges, that way it won't peel and annoy you. You never touch the edges anyway, so they will never get scratched.

That’s ridiculous. There going to have to give away more than a set of headphones and a plastic case or sales will be worse than the s9.

Oh they will have BOGO deals like they do every year. Buy one, sell the other. Swappa is usually filled to the gills with the Note series right after release.

Any recommendation?
I bought an Invisible Defender protector but never used it. I ended up keeping the factory fitted protector on as I reasoned that taking everything into consideration it couldn't be bettered.

I just hope all the variants are available everywhere. If there's an 8gb/512gb version, THAT is what I want in the States.
Samsung is the maker of major components of cell phone, should put all the great stuff out for you. Since N9 is the flagship of the company they have to put the best stuff forward.

I think the 512 will be available...but probably not right away. My guess is maybe a month later

Verizon already has a bogo on the note 9.

Lol, you're kidding me? It hasn't even been announced yet. I'm curious if when Samsung lists sales numbers if it includes something like a BOGO phone as a "sold" phone. I'll bet they do. I'm on Verizon and if they combined this with an iPhone x-plus (when released) I'd be tempted to jump on it so I can rock both phones this year, but I rarely see BOGO's where you can combine different manufacturers.
