I had a bit of a bad experience when with the S9 which had to be replaced twice. Unlike Apple, I had to deal with their online team and be without the phone twice.

As good will, they sent me a couple of £150 discount codes and a 10% off code for use on their online store for phones only.
That’s amazing customer service.

Sounds like a good deal there mate if you like the Note 9.. your getting nearly 50% off net.

I can only manage only 20% off at launch for my efforts.. but wondering if I should wait it out for X Plus in September instead.. I think if the retailers included the free charger for the Note 9 instead of the galaxy Watch it would have pushed me over the line.

Saving grace is.. I have a S9 now and the user experience wouldn't be million miles away (minus S Pen functionality).

I wish the US was offering the Watch instead of the lame headphones and Fortnite crap.

Would make trading in my 6S Plus a no brainer for $300 at BB.

Just pre-ordered the 128GB Blue version. Should make a nice upgrade from my iPhone 7.

I'm a bit excited and nervous about jumping ship back to Android. When I got my 7 I went all in on Apple. But I haven't really enjoyed feeling trapped into the Apple ecosystem. Other products and services look great, and I can't wait to actually use Google Voice to command Spotify.

My wife will be getting the newer iPhone come September so I'll be able to compare devices. The only thing i'm really worried about are my AirPods. I love those little things...

Ain't gonna do it.. I'm on TMobile JOD program and [even with 5plus years and A+ credit rating] they want $530 plus tax as down payment on the 8GB | 512 GB version.... Screw that!

Very tempted, but no black version and no nice discounts on at&t has me holding off. Will probably pick one up during the holiday sales

Is there any stated reason as to why the US is not getting a black variant?

It's so tempting but I'm going to sit and wait and see how Apple's release goes, and then give it a month or two to see how people are feeling about the devices.

I love the iPhone X and also loved the Note 8. iPhone generally wins out because I prefer iOS and am a bit locked in their ecosystem.

Buuuuuut...as much as I love the iPhone X, it's by far the laggiest iPhone experience I've ever had and the reviews of the new one better show me that they fixed this. I know iOS 12 is a lot of under the hood stuff, but I've owned 2 X's and they're both super laggy compared to even the iPhone 6s. Something just isn't right with the hardware.

My experiences and uses are almost the same as yours.

It is very tempting, but I'm going to sit it out as well

Especially considering Android 9 is out already.

What sucks is that I love how fun the Samsung devices are. Probably the coolest phones out there. But too many times I think “oh it would be great to watch one of my purchased iTunes movies or FaceTime someone. Damn you Apple!!!

iPhones have been laggy ever since they started using big screens.

Yeah.... i miss the features that most Android phones have now, Apple takes a couple years to catch up.
Then i get bored with one phone then switch....rinse and repeat......

Wait until release date and go to a T-mobile store. They have always tried to charge me hundreds of dollars for pre-order, but on release day it's always $0 down and just trade in the previous phone.

As much I know people complain about the price and I get it, it’s getting pretty silly these days, but storage for the price with Samsung they throw in some free stuff. Apple charges more and gives you nothing

Definitely feel Samsung is the better bang for the buck in value. Pre orders get freebies and a few months down the road they offer pretty big discounts. I’ll be waiting for the discounts this time around but definitely interested in this phone. Even though the camera hardware is the same, just from the view reviews I’ve seen, they have done some nice tweaking to the software and the photos looks even better than ever.

Ordered. 8/512/Blue.

Am I *really* spending $1200 on a phone for the second time within 12 months and probably a third when the iPhone X Plus hits??

Hey you buy what you enjoy its all worth it if you use it I say

Some spend £200 a month on a bike like my work mates
