What phone do you have now? I’m going to keep my X and snagged the Tab S4 for media consumption. AMAZING display! Oh my.

Still have the s8+. Initially I was planning on waiting for s10+ but I just don't see what they can add at this point. Maybe some kind of flip design but I would'nt want the first gen of that anyway.

Puke. I'd never drop money on a phone with an ugly notch. Disappointing the Pixel 3XL is going that way but there's a slight chance Google are trolling us two months before release because full retail package leaks usually only occur closer to release.

In-display fingerprint sensor, 7nm CPU, faster storage, new unbreakable screen, new camera, just to name a few.

Bigger battery, better camera (better in low light and 3X optical zoom etc), faster processor, faster and larger storage, more RAM etc. Phones can still get better even if just for the battery life and camera.

I can pre-order a 128gb Note 9 with free wireless charger thrown in for £639 (RRP £899)!

Is that good deal to keep me Android for now or shall I keep to the original plan of a X Plus this year!?

Dilemma! Argh!

Anybody know the return policy for T-Mobile? I've been considering a switch to them, and would also like to see what it's like on the Android side since I haven't tried it in years and the Note is the only phone that interests me. Their website looks like 30 days however that sounds a bit too good to be true (isn't is usually 14 days for wireless industry?).

I thought it was a 2x zoom camera, not 3?

Anybody actually ordered 512GB model? Don’t know where to start with that kind of usage

I have ordered n9 512gb to be delivered next week

Think Samsung is really pushing this version. Got it at just 50% of the price of IPhone X 256gb on the same mobile subscription plan (about US$35 per month). No freebies except for $30 assessory voucher.

Galaxy Note 9's screen receives record-setting rating from DisplayMate

https://m.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-note-9-displaymate-test-results-best-display-yet

Edit: sorry about the huge text, can't change it because the selection box on my 7 Plus freaks out :/

Honestly, what would the industry be like without the real innovators like Samsung. They've got the biggest R&D budget by a wide margin for good reason. To keep improving a display that just crushes is nearest rival twice in a year is insane. They're the true backbone of the industry. Whether it's displays, memory, storage, CPUs, or even the manufacturing process, they're industry leaders.

I believe it's 14 days, and possibly, a restocking fee.

512GB is awesome for either power users or people who plan to just keep the Note 9 for a couple of years. Never worry about storage.

I appreciate Samsung future-proofing.
Indeed.

They damn near have made the perfect phone:

512GB Expandable storage
8GB RAM
4000mAh Battery
Huge 6.4inch QHD Display
2x Optical Zoom Camera
Bluetooth Stylus

All in a phone less than 9mm thick...

If you told me this is where phones would be now back in 2008, I would have said you were dreaming.

Yeah, even for 2018, those specs are the very top of the line. It makes the upcoming Pixel 3 XL look pathetic by comparison.

And don't forget, Samsung does all this while keeping consumer-friendly features like the headphone jack and microSD. This flies in the face of the excuses Apple and Google give.

I've never been a Pixel fan, I think the last time I really wanted a Google phone was either the days of Nexus One or Galaxy Nexus, even then you had the 1st Galaxy Note come in and trounce the Galaxy Nexus, after that I have never been thoroughly impressed.

I agree.

The smartphone market is maturing and some argue there’s a lack of innovation so Samsung should be applauded for having such lofty storage allowances; some people are tending to keep their phones for just a bit longer so 512GB (formatted capacity less) is a great idea IMHO.

I love that the Note 9 have the bigger battery. However, I won't be switching as the note 8 is still awesome currently and will be waiting on the Note 10.
I wonder how many hours can it gets?
