I did but I don't really know.
The storage factor is I guess.
128 is more than enough for me.
So I guess it isn't that much better because of the RAM. Looks like that on the video from earlier too .

So I've downloaded Mame4droid on my note 9... But I'm struggling to get my roms off my macbook on to the note! Can anyone help?
Put both Note 9 and Macbook on the same network/WIFI. Enable SFTP server on Macbook then use a file manager on Note 9 that supports SFTP such as Solid Explorer.

I seriously love how perfect this worked out.
You can connect the phone to your MacBook and drag and drop files. You can also use google drive or Dropbox as an intermediary, upload the files to those sites and then download them on your phone.
If you have a micro sd card, you can transfer the roms there and then put the sd card into your phone.
Btw, what site are you using for your roms? 8 used to use emuparadise, but the don’t have rims anymore.
Well, the monitor is 1920x1200. In my dex settings, i have it on auto select, but its running at 1920x1080, even though its taking up the whole screen.Which max resolution are you getting on the monitor?
So only 2 years in the Apple ecosystem. I really like the Note 9 but will I miss password management etc?
To go back to this after seeing the keynote, absolutely nothing makes me think I'd be getting good value from the Xs Max. The $1,100 price tag is comparatively ignorant to what I get from my own use-case out of the $100 cheaper Note9.For me, the Note9 is my personal computer. I've got a work desktop, but that's solely for work and at the office. One device for everything that I specifically need for personal use is what I've always wanted, but never been able to get, until now. That's what I've always wanted out of an iPhone, but Apple isn't in a position to deliver such a product, if only for the sake of not cannabilizing sales of their other product lines. I totally get that. Sometimes the needs of a consumer don't align with what a company can offer strategically. I'll be interested to see the keynote Wednesday, but I'm not optimistic that what I need will align with what they can give.
The note 9 512GB is £1 cheaper than the iPhone XS max 64GB. My upgrade is due at the beginning of December. I really don’t think I can justify Apple’s prices anymore. To go back to this after seeing the keynote, absolutely nothing makes me think I'd be getting good value from the Xs Max. They only just discovered IP68, give it a few more years for Split screen on their phones. To go back to this after seeing the keynote, absolutely nothing makes me think I'd be getting good value from the Xs Max. At that insane price point, $1,099-$1,499, they had a real chance to make it like an iPad Pro mini essentially, and they squandered it. It's 2018 and we don't get split-screen multitasking with your insanely good A12 Bionic chip.
Well if I get a Note 9, that’s one of the reasons I was planning to wait. I wanted to see a price drop or some deal along with getting some help via trade in of my S8+.So after watching the keynote, them eye watering prices for the 512gb models do make the note 9 512gb seem a bit of bargain but the one thing that puts me off is the resale value of Samsung's! I've got the note 9 512gb after being a long time apple iPhone owner but decided to see what I'd would be worth on one of these recycle sites. Now bear in mind it's a new phone, I've had it about a week and the device it self has been out a month? I was quoted £550 here in the UK... for giggles I did the same for a year old iPhone X 256gb and was offered £630 or something along them lines! That was off putting seeing how little or how quick these android devices drop money! The other thing I think apple have nailed this time round is the series 4 apple watch - the other thing that has me considering selling my note 9 as I've always wanted the apple watch and now more so with it being a more polished product.

Whoa, I am stunned Apple finally, FINALLY gave iPhones stereo audio recording capability. I really didn’t think they would. Nobody but I had been vocal on this forum about wanting or caring about such a feature so I thought they’d never bother. Apple doesn’t ever seem to do anything unless they absolutely have to. Now we’re getting IP 68 and beer resistance. As well as stereo audio. This kind of blows my initial plans all to crap. Apple would pick this year when I fully intended to ignore and dismiss them to get up off their dead behinds and deliver.
I figured my Samsung would be my primary “memory maker” device so that’s where I wanted to invest in screen size and storage.
I was getting the XS to have an iPhone that would not make such crappy calls. Interestingly they didn’t make that big of a deal out of the modems. Or if they did they went by that part really fast. Other than that I wasn’t sure it would offer enough to make it a star player in my smart phone team. But now...whoa.
So I have to decide if I want an XS or an XS Max and what storage I want. Probably will still stick with 256 GB.
I have all kinds of heart rhythm problems so I’m for sure getting that Series 4 watch. And I want it in gold stainless.
That’s a lot of $$$. I think Apple has done the unthinkable and knocked the Note 9 off my road map. #%*^ ecosystem!
Oh well I need to just sit down and let all of this stuff marinate in my brain. Which I do have. Believe it or not.
Sorry to hear about the heart rhythm issues. For me, it's blood pressure. I'm glad to hear that you were blown away by the iPhone, though.
I have to say, the iPhone didn't do it for me this year and pushed me to the Note 9.
Wish you luck, I'm sure you'll enjoy whichever phone you get.

So a 1499$ phone still comes with 5W charger? So extra $$$ for fast charging? And to add salt to injury, you have to purchase usb-c to lightning cable? And still, out of the box you can't connect your 1499$ phone with your 4000$ laptop? Now add insurance for such an expensive phone, together with wall brick for fast charging + lightning to usb-c, and taxes... Well, that would be way over 2000$ in most of USA, wouldn't it?
My last Apple device is a browser + media machine - Macbook 12. And I have no intentions on purchasing anything anymore from apple. iMac Pro has kernel panics, and you can't repair the 'Pro' machine, even Apple refuses on some occasions to repair it. MBP has keyboard issues, along with kernel panic, and of course - throttling.
It was nice being in Apple camp while it lasted. Things really did just work. And worked like a charm!
But constant greed from Tims Apple, and I really do believe that they think that most of their customers are simply brain dead. Now wireless charger for Airpods was announced in 2017. So if we are lucky, we will maybe see it in 2019?
Bahh... I'm beyond shock. And I feel stupid to be shocked in the first place.
This is the first Apple iPhone event I missed. Didn't watch it at all. Just done some reading. So if I made a mistake somewhere, please, feel free to correct me.
It's on the website. The same 5W charger it's always been.Did you find confirmation somewhere that they’re not upgrading the in box charger? I’ve been looking for that myself.
