Yeah, it would be really nice if Google had some way to sync calendars contacts notes etc...oh wait...I use those Google services on my iPhone  My contacts were synced to my new 4S before I walked out of the store setting up my GMail as an exchange account w/contact sync. Instead of using Apple services and having to wait til I was home. And for music, DoubleTwist looked a lot like iTunes and synced my music flawlessly.

Instead of saying some OS can't do this or that, actually educate yourself on what it can and cannot do.
Yeah... maybe some people have the time to educate themselves about what a phone can or can't do. I educated my self in my job and I get paid. When I get paid for educating myself in a cellphone's features, then I can talk. Good for you in your successful syncing experience with Google.

The note is light year ahead of the 4s in technology.
Apple is so far behind the competitor.

That pen is incredibly accurate

I think this will be the year of the iphone's demise.
They'll be too far behind come october to ever catch back up.

I currently have the 4S and here is my 2 cents. I picked up the black Note at Bestbuy of contract $750(30 day return). All I can say is WOW!, the screen is beautiful. Sometimes I sit there and just look at the screen and show it off. It is very fast. Don't care about the Pen S. The phone is huge but fits in my pocket. This is by far my favorite Andorid on the market. I will give it a couple of weeks but will probably return it. I am a Mac iOS guy and many of my friends have Imessage, find my friends etc. I love how well the iPhone just works with iTunes, music etc. The Ipad 3 HD will be out soon and if it has the Retina display, quad core, LTE it will be pretty sweet. I thought about swapping the sim out (depending on my mood) from my 4S to my Note which I have done the last couple of days but its a pain. My friends get confused because imessage works and then it doesn't. I will also need to get an LTE sim from ATT to get the LTE speeds. I go running everyday and want to have my phone with me. The 4S is fine in my shorts pocket but I am not sure the Note will be.

Another thing I hate about Android is if you want the best phone on the Market you will have to buy and sell your phone 10X a year. With iPhone once a year at that.

At the end of the day the iPhone does everything and more then the Note for what I do but I love looking at the amazing screen on the Note.

I Hope Apple will adopt LTE, bigger screen for the 5 but looks like that will be this fall.

I think he was saying to educate yourself before posting as if only an iPhone can sync notes, calendar and such.

Not go out and learn how all cell phones work.

Android phones being the best on the Market, when you buy iPhone you NEVER have the best phone on the Market

My iphone 4s is only kick ass cause it's jailbroken, if not it's a tiny turd!
(the screen is still a tiny turd, but the phone kicks ass) :)

Best is subjective to the user's NEEDS and WANTS similar to how people define beauty or what color they prefer. Subjective.

Sales figures contradict your argument.
Sales figures (popularity) doesn't EQUAL best either. Just because Rihanna can sell more records than Bob Dylan doesn't make her the greater artist. Steve Jobs would have agreed to that.

Have had my time with the Note and it's a pretty awesome device but it is just too large to carry around as a phone. It does not fit in your pocket as everyone says. You walk around with this big object poking out. No pun intended but it doesn't feel secure in your hand. Overall its a nice device but too large to be your cell phone. Go to a local At&t and check it out...

I just went to the AT&T yesterday to take a look and the Galaxy Note is enormous. There is no way I would use a phone that big!

That said, I did pick up a Galaxy S II off contract to play with. It's a pretty solid device and Android is a bit weird to use.

This thread has become a straight up iPhone vs Galaxy Note argument. While these two devices have some similar functions they are completely different, designed for different markets. Its silly people are battling this out like Apple is really going to be effected by Note sales...

You mean incredibly laggy? It draws on the screen about a half a second later.

Do you make this stuff up or what? Geez. Nothing like someone who has no clue what they are talking about posting false info here. We get it...you like your iPhone....but that doesn't mean that all other devices are junk.

Exactly. I purchased a note and really like it, but most at the ATT store were buying iPhone 4s's. The power of marketing I guess.
WHile I do agree that the iPhone is the current "king" of smartphones, I also think that it is impossible to say for how long. Things change, and todays top dog may eventually get knocked off the hill. I never thought I would try an Android phone and am very pleasantly surprised by the Galaxy Note. For me it is a keeper.....for now.

----------

it's going to get to a point where these android phones aren't going to fit in your pocket..... Why would I want to use that monstrosity as a phone? that thing is borderline tablet.

It fits perfectly fine. Why do TV screens keep getting larger? People want bigger, and on a device that you use many many times during the day, why wouldn't anyone want a larger screen to view more content on it?
It's not for everyone, but if Apple made it, it would be the Holy Grail right?

----------

The stylus for the iPhone is essentially an alternative to a finger.
It offers no enhancement over using your finger. There is no precision.

The stylus on the Note works with both location and pressure.
The Wacom digitizer has near pixel precision. Press harder and the contact field expands.

Exactly. Imagine a student in math class wanting to copy down a formula from the board with his finger..Doesn't work does it? Sometimes a stylus is just what is needed.

Haha typical iSheep arguments.

Skoda sold more cars than Audi, are they better because of this?

Apple made 2000% more money selling smartphones than Samsung?

So, before buying a car, do you take time to research it's features and downfalls and see what you really like and don't like about it? i.e., educating yourself. And possibly with a few different vehicles to compare? Maybe even go test drive a few?

Now, obviously, a smartphone isn't as big of a purchase as a car (well, it might be for some) but it's still a substantial purchase in the long run. As a consumer, it's on you to do your due diligence. Just buying a product because you thing it works best is silly, especially when it's a product that you use every single day and pay at least a couple of thousand dollars for the hardware and service.

I guess you don't have time for any hobby's, or dating, or hanging out with friends or anything of the sorts either huh? Takes all of 5 minutes to compare a couple of phones feature sets. Maybe you should just learn some better time management. :)

You couldn't have said it better. I educate myself in my job, and nothing else in life. I know my job and nothing else. I am a drone!:D

are you seriously saying you couldn't figure out sync'ing everything with Android/Google?? No different then somebody using iTunes the 1st time and trying to figure out how to do it and what settings to choose and this and that, and looking it up if they don't know..... lol.

Do you compare cars, houses or other living spaces, coffee makers, food, restaurants, gifts, tv's, wine etc etc etc??? If not.... well.... lol
