I wonder how Samsung will hold the event this year, I know it will be online. Will they still deliver a presentation but to an empty room (that would be very cringe), or will they simply announce the new Note 20 and other devices via a set of smaller videos/press releases?

I'm assuming the announcement will be taking place on August 5th (as rumoured and confirmed by Jon Prosser). I wonder if the pre-order/release dates will be different here in the U.K vs those in the US

Believe it will be a presentation similar to what Apple is going to do for WWDC. Will be interesting to see how they both do it and what changes since it is online only.

I think i am in 🏁🏁🏁
That looks fantastic! I think my husband will enjoy it and will also be glad to trade his Ultra in for it. I’m happy with the S20 and currently can’t cope with large phones, so I’m happy to stay put. But it’s been a bit sad my husband hasn’t enjoyed the Ultra as much as I have enjoyed the S20. These are beautiful and if that’s what they end up looking like, wow! I wonder what colors will go to the different markets.

I'm curious, why hasn't he enjoyed it?

I think i am in ???

It looks beautiful.. but knowing what I know now, I'll probably be passing on it. But, I just found out about Sound Assistant and I don't think I'll be going back over to the iPhone anytime soon. It's crazy how much features Android has on top of what Samsung provides for the Note10+.

I don’t think I can ever part with my beloved large phones but I just got an SE last week the original version. Just to have as a back up for my 11 pro max and something that I can comfortably use in bed at night. I have to say I’m finding the small size refreshing. I don’t know what’s going on lol

What is sound assistant? I’m still trying to digest all of the android 11 beta stuff. I really hope google have some kind of web steam eventually.

It looks beautiful

Looks very attractive and all premium colours are all there ???. It'll be hard which to choose they all really look good.
First i thought Note 10 looks better than 20 but now i changed my mind.

Well, Samsumg is very well known and have good reputation to rebounce from previous disasters or mistakes so it was predicted they would come up with new surprises and offers.

In what way ? Size or function and features?
S20 and its 2 brothers are as good as any Samsung flagship phones excluding the few problems with the ultra.

In my opinion the reason why S20 line could not perform in sales is because...

1) Corona virus and world economy
2) Price
3) Too many Samsung fans bought s10 & Note10 two very popular flagships so it was hard to jump to s20

Well, it's one of my pet peeve with iOS on how it handles audio. If an app is currently playing audio and then you try to play audio through a different app. The previous audio just stops. I would give you an example, but you seem techie enough to understand.

I honestly don't know how I stumbled upon it, I'm sure it's something that's been discussed before. It seems so rudimentary, but it's something we take for granted. I'm sure Apple will implement it eventually, maybe not for the iPhone.. since it's not centered around multitasking. But definitely for iPadOS.

Sometimes you don’t need to start playing another audio for it to disappear from control centre. After a while it just disappears. It’s so annoying I agree. I’ve complained about this before. On android you can have multiple audio playing controls on the notification shade.

I have watched this several times now and somehow it does not look right some edges look just a little too rounded and take away from the business/utilitarian look that the Note 10 had of a crisp clean design

Hard to tell until the phone is on, but at least the normal Note 20 might be flat.

Yeah.. i don't even use the Notification Shade. I tap the volume (left or right) and it gives me Sound Assistant.

I also have sound assistant. Google is so behind when it comes to features. I could never own a Pixel for that reason. People always talk of the user experience and customization of their devices. To me, Samsung leads the way with this. If you have a Galaxy device, then I would say Good Lock, One Hand Operation +, and Sound Assistant are a definite must. There is nothing that Google can add to android that can match any of those apps. Android 11 will have chat bubbles, a feature already available on Galaxy devices.

I think he just prefers his Note 10+ and wants to go back to that kind of Samsung. He has not really articulated to me why he doesn’t like it much. I do think he found it narrow and wants more width on a large phone. Unlike me, he wants a big slab of a phone.

Actually, I like those kinds of phones, too, but I’ve decided to just use an actual tablet and keep my phones easier to hold and cheaper to buy and own.

I’ve said it for years but I just find stock android to be really bland. I’d take a Samsung phone every day of the week.

Samsung is coming up with an economical downgraded lighter version of Note series.

Yeah, I always had the mindset of getting the higher premium of phones... if its the iPhone Plus or Note Plus. I'd rather have the phone with all the features... no compromising.

Well, it will be very interesting because it will combine old and newer specs but i really don't mind it. The only con is its HD ?

Tons of leaks for the Note 20 today by Ice Universe. I'm on my phone or I would post them. 120hz with QHD and LTPO display. Looks like a thinner and less bezeled Note 10. Laser autofocus technology. But I didn't see anything groundbreaking.

Well i think Samsung is trimming all the unnecessary costly features to reduce price, so there will be a downgrade in some variants especially the standard Note 20.

These guys think it's fake, I'm not saying it is but here's their take on it:

All I want for the standard Note 20 is a 6.4" flat display, 120hz, and 256gb UFS 3.1 storage. Give me that and I'll be preordering.
