Just a rumour so far but Samsung is not in position to pump the price after the recent events and poor s20 sales.

I agree, but my guess is that they are attributing poor S20 sales with Covid and not with the high price. It was probably the combination of both, but we will never really know.

Either way i dont think they will take high risk with high prices at least for the plus if not the ultra. My guess is the price will be reasonable if not then we should expect generous bonuses and promotional gifts.

Seems it’s dollars but bet it’s a similar price.

1100 would be reasonable...well sort of lol

999 for regular note is a mistake. If they priced it at say £850 they could sell plenty
I was fine paying $1100 for my note 10+. Once it goes any higher than that you lost me.

Even the jump from $1100 to $1200, or even $1150 is a no.

As long as the $999 Note 20 has 120hz and 256gb storage, I’m fine with that price. Come on dream Note, 6.4” flat display, 120hz, 12gb ram, 256gb 3.1 Ufs storage!

dream Note, 6.4” flat display, 120hz,

Trust me lower end variants will never come with 120hz. The whole idea with the flat variant is to trim the premium overheads so it won't make a sense.

Flat display is 3 times cheaper than curved.

My S20 was $999 and has 120hz. My Pixel 4 retailed for $799 and has 90hz display. And a flat 120hz would still be cheaper than a curved 120hz one.

Also, the regular iPhone 12 Pro (the 6.1” variant) will most likely come with pro display (120hz), and that will retail for $999.

Lets stick to one brand Samsung. S20 with its curved and ultra resolution screen is a smaller premium flagship phone. Where as the regular Note20 with its flat HD screen and other basic specs is a standard or cheaper variant of the Note line.

So if Samsung is intending to build a budget Note phone it will just defeat the purpose to equip it with 120 hz.

Two different marketing strategy.

It also doesn’t make sense to price the “budget phone” at $999.
Agreed makes no sense. 850 at worse is what it should be priced At

saying this rumours are we may not see 120hz on any iphone this year. The pro may not have it only pro max and that will be priced at 999

Thats not the point of our discussion. Put the price aside for now. Anything is possible but i will be very surprised if the regular Note20 has 120hz.

Sure it does. You keep saying “120hz doesn’t make sense for a budget phone”, but at $999 it’s NOT a budget phone. Now if it’s priced at like $799, then I could see them not putting in 120hz, but at $999 it doesn’t make sense not to include it, especially since the Galaxy s20 has 120hz (and a curved display) at $999.
