Have you seen the S20 Ultra?
So much attention to the ultra but almost nothing to the rest. Can't wait to see the flat my attention is there.
Have you seen the S20 Ultra?
As long as the camera is great or good enough i personally don’t mind the bump.Yes and that’s exactly it, I wouldn’t have imagined they’d want to repeat that let alone make an even bigger one!
Yeah I don't mind it either. But this one is larger than I thought they'd go.As long as the camera is great or good enough i personally don’t mind the bump.
Just a rumour so far but Samsung is not in position to pump the price after the recent events and poor s20 sales
What were you expecting?
Wtf are Samsung doing here? Shame

The 865 is already the best Android chip by a mile and way more power than most people will ever need.
I think we've had chips in phones now that are more than most need for a few years now.The 865 is already the best Android chip by a mile and way more power than most people will ever need.
I think once Samsung drops Qualcomm, and goes strictly with their Exynos chips for flagship devices, we'll possibly start seeing prices level off, and hopefully even drop a bit. The fact is, the current Exynos is lacking in performance compared to the Snapdragon. So the chip that people want is the Snapdragon. That pretty much gives Qualcomm a monopoly right now for flagship CPUs. So far the news looks good on the Exynos 1000 with the AMD GPU, and if all works out, this should separate the Samsung flagships, from every other android device.
Dave its splitting hairs for spec check chasers IRL it is negligible.as a potential Note 20 buyer, it’s worrying to find out that Samsung uses different chips in their flagships. The Snapdragon will be US while those of us in the U.K will be stuck with the Exynos, a chip that’s not as good as the Snapdragon. However the device will still cost the same, that doesn’t seem fair especially for less performance. At least Apple use only 1 chip in their flagship phones.

Often there are pro's by not having US variant if you were more susceptible to carrier bloat, modem band widths for international use, dual sim, update frequency etc etc they are stuck with
Some years you even got a better Sony lens over Samsung and so on
There are greater discrepancies in fairness in the international Variants when it comes to Apple products than you think
In truth I would ignore these comparisons they seldom reflect reality and its not like you have a choice to use the US versionInteresting, i see people comparing specs and benchmarks with the Snapdragon coming out on top (obviously that's for the Note 10 since the 20 hasn't even been announced yet). I'm going to keep an open mind and see what they announce next month
The S-pen is the biggest draw for me, i haven't used an Android device since the S4, it will be interesting to say the least.

It’s not really just the speed battery life is certainly worse....maybe LTPO means we won’t see much of a difference but will see
I know some who won’t get this due to the chip. Let’s face it the chip is a direct link to the user experience which is the most important factor in a phone
TBH, 99.9% of people who buy the phone probably a) wouldn't know what was in their phone and b) wouldn't know what a snapdragon was if you slapped them around the face with one.
In the real world it's really a non-issue. I have the UK varient of the S20+ and get 2-3 day's worth of battery life on average, never see/feel any stutter and don't notice any significant heat.
