Same! Battery is not as great since I’ve been on beta 14 but the Pro Max has had the best battery on a smartphone I’ve ever owned.

If I can get the same level of battery life on the Note 20 Ultra along with a great note and drawing experience with the S-Pen, I will buy the new Note. At least to try out, if I don't like it I will return it and wait for the Surface Duo to be launched.
I don't expect anything crazy from my smartphones, I just don't want a device that lags (the iPhone has been lag free with every model I've ever had going back to the 3GS) or slows down over time. Be able to multitask, take notes and pictures. The S-Pen is the big selling point for me, otherwise I would of tried the S20 Plus in that gorgeous blue colour.
Being able to customise it will also be great, add different background and widgets. I've never owned a Note device so it would be interesting.
So who is firing the first shot and review the phone for us when they buy it?

Having gotten the s20 plus on a discounted price, I don't think I'll be bothering with the note this time around. I'll probably wait for the next S line before I upgrade my Samsung phone.

That Mystic Bronze color is beautiful (my favorite of all the traditional metal colored phones), but the Note is more phone than I'll ever need, so I'll pass. I hope you all enjoy it.
Indeed, the N20 ultra is immense , really love this colour too, lot better than N8's copper.

Sounds like there will be camera improvements from even the ultra.
Exynos is the only downside for me
So as discussed last week there will be no 120hz on a regular N20.

As per a new leak, the Galaxy Note 20 will bring with itself a 6.7-inch, 1080p display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a flat-screen.
If Samsung roll out the base model Note 20 with a 1080p, 60 Hz screen and still charge $1000, they're basically saying "you might as well pay $200-300 more for the Ultra which is an actual flagship".
Least samsung users have a choice...if you have the iPhone 12 or 12 pro it will still have 60hz
I don't think that's been confirmed. Some very prominent leakers are still saying 120hz on the pro models. But there's definitely conflicting information.
Which sucks because I don't want a phone THAT big and I want a flat display.

Eh, $1000 for a 1080p low refresh screen is pretty bad. You could get a S20 plus or OP8 Pro for a lower price and have a much better device.
You do understand why it's called a Note ie Spen, your alternatives seem lacking in this important feature
Yeah the S-Pen makes all the difference when comparing the Note line to anything else.
That will only matter for the handful of people that need the Spen but aren't willing to pay an extra $200 over the already high $1k to get an actual flagship level phone. If the Note started at like $800 it would make more sense. But for a couple hundred more you get higher resolution, higher refresh, more ram, and likely better build quality, camera improvements (possibly not sure), etc it seems a no brainier to spend the extra money. My point is, the prices are too close given the other offering and spec differences. So this phone is for those that need an Spen but only want to spend the minimum amount. Got it.

Many skipped the S20's and others because of the SPen, your wishful thinking does not change the fact that the Notes has an Spen, there are no substitutes.
Trying to devalue a product to suit a perceived budget or "High" price is just nonsense.

If you want a Note with an Spen there are 2 to choose from same as the OP8 you suggested, which incidentally most recommend the lower spec one over the Pro but the reverse may be the case for the Notes.
I love how you call out my opinion as "wishful thinking" and than try to pass off yours as fact saying that many people skipped the S20 because of the Spen. Where's that data?
The Spen is for a niche group of people. A lot of people choose the Note device and don't care at all about the Spen. They choose it because it's one of the best premium Android devices and has been for years. I am one of those people and others on this forum have also admitted to buying the Note but never really using the Spen.
But that's not what my post was even about. You went on a tangent as you tend to do and pulled it off track. My original post was that the Note 20 (not ultra) is an overpriced phone was what it offers. Especially considering the other phones at that price point and the extra stuff you get for a couple hundred more with the Note ultra.

It comes with metal frames and plastic back. At least its 6.7 flat screen so excellent for many Note fans. 6.4 was a bit turn off for some .
