The pricing for the Ultra sucks, but if you look at what the phone offers it's hard to argue with. If any phone can command that fee then it's the Note Ultra.

The regular Note 20, however, is a joke at that price. $1k for a 60 hz, 1080p screen with a plastic back? Yeah that's a hard pass.

The flat 6.7 screen will make up for this ? plus dont forget the other good parts like processor, 4300 battery, top camera , aluminium frame, 5G and....and...and 1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 ratio 393 ppi density is very acceptable by many users.

$1000 is probably bit high but i have a feeling this phone physically is very attractive.

My only critics are no Gorrilla glass and its top corner screen is not boxy as the ultra.

If you've used both, you would understand the difference. Either one will feel normal and smooth after a while of using just that phone. But I had the iPhone 11 pro max at the same time as the S20 plus I use now. The difference in scrolling was night and day. The S20 was much, much smoother because of the 120 hz refresh.
Wow, I never have mine turned on to 120 hz. I couldn’t really see the difference all that much when I played around with it, so I decided to turn it off and save the battery. Samsung had done something else to make the phone feel more smooth, I forgot exactly what, maybe increased touch sensitivity??? and that was sufficient for me. 120 hz isn’t a deal maker or breaker for me. But a lot of people say they can really feel the difference. I wonder why I can’t.

Not used the S20 series but my iPad Pro has 120Hz pro motion but I can’t really see any difference between that and my iPad mini which doesn’t have it.

when I used the s20 variants, I switched between 60 and 120hz. Scrolling is definitely ‘smoother’ and appears a tad faster. It’s not a massive difference and wouldn’t sway my phone choice, but it’s nice to have.

Weird, I guess refresh rate is a sensitivity thing that some people feel more than others. When scrolling I felt a huge difference between my S20 and Pro Max. I could clearly see stutters in the pro max animation. However if I went back to using just the pro max it felt more normal after a couple days. Not as smooth as the S20, but not as noticeably choppy.

Ah, so it’s not just me, then. With my known neurological issues with pwm, I was wondering if they were a factor. I can see a little difference, but it just doesn’t register to me as significant. But I am happy for the other people who can appreciate the difference. They seem really excited about it.

Looks good. I'm definitely thinking about upgrading from my Active 2. Hopefully there are more features to be announced and not just hardware refresh.
Oh that watch looks really nice. I still have my Active 1. I’m pretty satisfied with Apple Watch so it’s been hard to switch away from it, though I did enjoy a brief but fun dalliance with a Fitbit. I got frustrated charging it. If I didn’t position it just right inside this stupid clip it wouldn’t charge.

Since I already know I'll be waiting for the Fold 3, my interests currently lie with the wearables. The Galaxy Buds Live look really interesting. The current Galaxy Buds and Buds+ are nice and small, but these take it to the next level. Hope they perform well. I'm thinking of getting a pair.

Are they rumored to have noise cancelling too ?

Indeed, ANC is strongly expected.
Another note, the Buds+ are considered to be one of the best pair of wireless earbuds for its price range. Great sound and great call quality for talking and listening. These Buds Live are considered to be a notch up from the Buds+. So I'm hoping it all turns out to be the case, as I will most likely pick up a pair.

Those are maybe half the size of the +? I wonder if sound and battery will be sacrificed for the size

The plus is the most popular model of all but its not available with the Note line so either we have settle with the base or ultra.

Maybe I’m losing my mind here but thinking about it if you’re going to spend £1350 on a phone you want to have everything and I would say this phone does seem to have anything a true techie would want.

I’m interested by what the s pen will be as I’ve seen some leaks where it could be like a mouse Cursor and double tap to bring up certain apps. Could be useful for certain tasks

If that’s the case... I’m hoping it’s part of One UI 2.5 that can be updated to the Note 10 series. Because I’m not planning paying north of $1200 for that Note20 Ultra.

But how many people will be planning on waiting 12 months for a decent price drop? I paid 35% under retail 3 months after the Note 10+ release. That's more like it.

I will be interested to see first what the trade in deals are and who had the best deals. Last year Samsung offered up to $600 as well as Microsoft. I give it 6 months until we see some good deals. Microsoft may try to leverage a better deal if the Note 20 Ultra is coming with XCloud optimization. Especially the 5G version.

I'll wait until they have better promos, like a free TV or something. :D (it's actually normal for Samsung Indonesia. Right now, they are running a promo of free Air Purifier when you buy the S20+/Ultra, or free makeup set when you buy the S10 Lite)
