iMovie? Did it come pre-installed on a new iPhone out of the box? I don't think so. It's an optional free download from the app store. That's not bloat. If you have iMovie, that means you chose to download it yourself.

Nope had to delete it among 3-4 other apps

Look at Linus and Marques Brownlee with all their fancy studios and production values.

Flossy is like "I got 1.5 million subscribers with a wooden bench and a cat, suckas."

He’s a real consumer too, as good as those guys are I think they have to play a certain role to keep these companies happy. Flossy is so honest if a product is Wack he will say it

The Surface Duo isn’t just a phone, Microsoft said that during the keynote back in October. I plan on using it as a secondary device alongside my iPhone.
Yes but your objection is not more than 3 years updates why do you think this would be any different

Mainly from comments I’ve read, I have no first hand experience with a Samsung phone since I brought the S4 and I hated the software. I’ve seen comments from people saying that Samsung installs a lot of bloatware on the devices and random ads.

Security is also an issue for me, I want to be able to install an app and know that it will not contain a virus or have anything like that. I think over the years I have been spoilt by Apple’s ecosystem and I’m very much entrenched in it, as much as I want to try other things, I personally take a look and think “yea but it isn’t Apple so will it be as good“
Dave your at it again just making up random excuses soon as it close to splashing some cash.

The so called bloatware thing is more prevalent in US carriers, especially if you do not buy an unlocked direct one from Samsung.

You don't like the OS or only 3 years support yet now a switch to focus on the Duo yet has the same OS

Now just daft rumors on virus or spyware. maybe you do not read the front page stories here on MR and how many Apps from the App Store have been tracking users data for years there is no more security with IOS apps than Android soon as you step away from native apps. Only native apps by Apple carry their umbrella promise.

This is not being spoiled this is denial

Hardly random excuses when I’ve mentioned in the past my reservations about Samsung and their OS. Remember Touch Wiz and how terrible that was? I do with the S4, it was laggy and just unenjoyable in my opinion. That’s not to say I haven’t admired the Note series for a while, I would be lying if I said I haven't. The S-Pen is definitely an advantage and draws me towards It (no pun intended :)).

With yesterday’s news that Microsoft is holding a virtual event on August 12th supposedly for the Duo, I will see what happens in terms of announcements. Duo is rumoured to start shipping 24th of this month. So not long now.

I haven't read up on the Note 20 Ultra that much, but can someone confirm...it has the same fingerprint sensor as the S20 and it still can't do 120hz at QHD?

I’m not getting a Note but I’m a sucker for new wireless headphones and was surprised when I saw the new Buds Live already for sale on Amazon, so......?

I ordered a pair late last night and was shocked and delighted to see them already waiting outside my door at 8 am this morning, especially as I had to hit the road for a weekend trip to Atlanta at 9 am. I figured I’d have to wait until Monday to test them out.

I only have my iPhone with me this weekend but I’ll see if I can put them through their paces and do some rudimentary comparisons with my AirPods Pro.

Dave how can we take your intent seriously when you bring up an S4 from 6 years back and all the other points you note with Android and even likely with the Dup are not going to disappear the writing is on the wall for all to see

You don’t have too, time will tell. Hopefully this month, I intend to pre-order the Duo when available.

I bring up the S4 simply because “once bitten twice shy” as the expression goes. Yes it is 6 years ago, and I’m not here to slate or have a go at Samsung, I was simply giving my opinion on the keynote that I saw and the Note device.
I don’t want to keep talking negatively about Samsung, there is no doubt that they make great devices, we have QLED 4K Samsung TVs in our house and love them l, as well as a Samsung washing machine.

I don’t deny that the Note 20 Ultra looks great, if it was based off of looks alone I would of pre ordered one already ? and I also think the fact that Samsung have included the Buds Live for free as a pre-order bonus, is a very nice touch. I wish Apple would do the same with their AirPods Pro.
Also from what I’ve seen the s-pen features look great. Something that I would use daily, if not for taking notes, it would be for drawing. Oh and that Bronze Colour looks so good I just ?.

Dave you live in the UK get a Note 20 on try and return at no risk as it will be some weeks more before you could do the same with a Duo, then we can stop all this speculation :)

Why not base your decision on the massive amount of YouTube videos, user reviews, posts from current Note owners on here, rather than a keynote? You post at great length on here on a multitude of products you want but never seem to buy any. Just place an order, try it out and if you really can't stand it, send it back.

I order PLENTY of stuff from Amazon but I can’t recall them ever delivering to my house at 7:30 am. It’s almost like they knew I was heading out of town early today. ?

If I had an Echo device in my house, I might have some reservations...??
Just checked here Buds Live not even a delivery date let alone next day service :(
