Only thing letting this phone down right now is battery life.

16:30 and it’s down to 27%. No doubt this will be put on a charger after i get home from the gym at 19:00-19:15ish.

Going to need to have look at ways to make this better. Maybe use AOD for tap to show....I’ve changed it to dark mode.

Will give it time to let the battery get used to my usage.

what screen brightness do you have it set to? I set mine to manual at about 35% brightness.

IIRC, haven't you had similar battery issues on past Note purchases, when compared to most on these forums? Any chance weaker LTE/5G signal could be the culprit, causing the phone to work harder to attain good signal?

Signal was bad yesterday which is what i put it down to but signal was fine today.

I have also switched off auto to 4G and switched off 5G.

Maybe it will just take time to adjust and maybe i should remove some widgets to see if that’s why but i doubt it should matter too much

Set it to around that, i switched off adaptive brightness.

Any other suggestions? Lol maybe use AOD to tap to wake.
I have adaptive turned off as well. I have AOD on full time but have the display set to 60hz. The 120hz is not a big deal for me.
I am getting around 6-7 hours SOT so far. I can live with that. But I am in a very good cell reception area as well. No 5G around me either.

Will try things out over weekend and see. Maybe I need to stick to WiFi when at work to see if its die to data draining more battery but on standby with AOD on was draining 1% every 15-20 minutes

Is that 60hz at FullHD?

Man this screenshot really shows how sweet that less curved display on the S20 U looks. Damn you Sammy for not bringing that over to the note

Flossy is on a rant lol

I would wonder if people would actually know the Note 20 was plastic if Samsung didn't say anything about the material. The texture was almost indistinguishable to the Ultra.

Heck, many people (and even youtubers) were still thinking the A series "glastic" (Samsung's marketing word) was somehow a mix between glass and plastic, while in reality it's just highly polished glossy plastic. To me that shows how the marketing influenced the perception, and alas Samsung did say the Note 20 is polycarbonate (plastic) directly contrasting it to the Ultra's glass, and that puts the (mis)perception of its value.

Putting the Note 20 against a Xiaomi phone (that is not even available officially in many markets, let alone the US), is lame. :D Any Xiaomi phone will roast a Samsung for spec per dollar. But then the Xiaomi has no warranty, and no guaranteed 3 years of OS upgrades with monthly security patches. Both brands have their pros and cons, but this feels like a cheap shot.

Well, I've set mine up, turned it off (first time I've had to use code or fingerprint to turn off my phone lol) and now have to wait for my case.
I'm not paying NZ$50 for a sh*tty see through case, Ali has them for $2-4 at most, I can wait.

Feels lovely, but slippery, I'm just not going to risk it.
