Well, I've set mine up, turned it off (first time I've had to use code or fingerprint to turn off my phone lol) and now have to wait for my case.
I'm not paying NZ$50 for a sh*tty see through case, Ali has them for $2-4 at most, I can wait.

Feels lovely, but slippery, I'm just not going to risk it.
You had to use a code or fingerprint to turn off your phone? Is that an option that can be set somewhere?

This is normal on a Samsung phone. If you want to turn off your phone without unlocking it, you have to put your Pin or use your fingerprint. It's a security feature.

I've used notes since the Note 3.
I've never had to do this before, but this was from an active screen, not a locked screen.

I had just finished the setup, ill try again later.

Well I tried again, and didn't have to, maybe I imagined it? :D

OK well I'm obsessed with my s pen and trying to realise how I coped without one for so long
I am the same way. I am always jotting something down, particularly off-screen notes.

Edit: Just now using the "extract text" tool I realize how often I use the Smart Select "Extract Text" tool as well. The OCR is pretty good and can extract text from photos, logos, etc.

Why are you returning it?

Multiple reasons:

- In 2 days, I had probably 15-20 accidental touches

- I butt dialed 2 people

- Blurry photos of moving objects are just too much to handle for a $1,300 phone.

- I had mutliple issues with text messages failing. This could have been a T-Mobile issue because it was isolated to a couple hours Thursday night.

- It doesn’t run iOS.

lol overall it really is a great phone but I knew within less than two days that I was going to be going back to the iPhone so I just returned it right away. No use in prolonging that process.

Some new feature updates for Samsung Notes and the Note 20 dropped in a recent update:

What's new
Add features applied to N20 device.

- You can create a new note as a PDF, or add a PDF to a note.

- You can writes notes freely by hand anywhere on images, pdfs, and text.

- Notes with infinite scrolling page and individual pages are provided.

- You can organize notes with folders and create subfolders as you want.

- Default templates are provided, but you can download various templates as a PDF or in image format to change your note background.

- When you choose dark mode using Quick Panel, dark mode will also be applied to the note body area.

- If you play a recorded file in a note, you can check the contents which were written during recording.

- You can straighten tilted handwriting with one touch.

- You can export a note to PowerPoint format so that you can check it in Office application.

This phone is amazing. The phone looks so premium in person. That Mystic Bronze is way nicer than I thought. I'd still go for the White, it's a looker. Hopefully frosted back for other colours as well next year. I think Samsung hit a homerun with this thing, and the 2 tone colour with the camera being a darker shade than the phone adds to the looks. I hope they stick with that next year when I'll be buying. It'll be the Fold 3 and Tab S8 Plus. 2021 is gonna be a wicked year for my tech buys.

Hey there, because Apple is gonna ban the Unreal Engine(which i use to develop), I’m now looking for alternatives, and sell my iP11Pro Max.

Is the S-Pen presure sensitive?
Hows Battery life?
Any negative sides(without flaming pls), which is good to know as a soon ex. iPhone user?

I would imagine you’re po’d at Apple but my advice would be to keep your iPhone so you can gracefully transition yourself to a Samsung. Otherwise the shock to your system might send you back prematurely. I’m sure you’re technically proficient and so switching won’t confuse you the way it does for a soccer mom like me, but there may be certain things on iOS that you rely on more than your realize and it may take you a bit of time to figure out suitable substitutes. There are always so many varied reasons people don’t take the switch well so I can’t assume anything on your behalf. I know in my own case it’s an immense help to be able to use both platforms. In the USA it’s hard to shake a dependence on iMessage, for example, in many social circles.

If it’s too expensive and you need to get rid of one phone to afford the other then maybe split the difference and go to an SE 2020 and a Samsung S20 through some sales or deals. Or a used cheaper iPhone.

I don’t remember if the S Pen is pressure sensitive. Your post got buried so I hope someone sees your question and can answer for you.

Samsungs have traditionally had good cooling for games. I don’t know if that’s still true because it’s not really discussed anymore. But my S20 runs cooler than my iPhones at average tasks.

As the mother of Fortnite players I extend my sympathies to you on your dilemma and I hope you get the answers you seek. You may want to do a separate post if you haven’t already so your questions don’t get buried under new user reports.

Good luck to you on making the switch!
