Used wireless Dex for the first time yesterday and pretty cool! It worked decent with the Miracast single I have but would probably work better if I actually ponied up for a TV that wasn't made in 2012.

Yeah, I bought a Samsung TV last November. I am in love. IDK why I waited so long to upgrade my old TV lol

I agree. I really don’t understand why Apple decided to make iOS 14 widgets non-interactive unlike iOS 13 widgets. Why? It makes no sense to me. Also, Apple’s own Calendar widget is awful. Look at all that empty space. Why?? Why not just allow the space to be populated with more future events? Ridiculous. Thankfully, the Fantastical widget looks a lot more promising and better designed.

This limitation bewilders me as well. I have no intention of using widgets on my home screen but love have my favorites in the panel left of the notification panel/main home screen and have a bunch of the old style that have interactivity. I’m hoping Authy doesn’t update their app widget any time soon so I don’t lose the ability to copy 2FA codes right from the widget.

Bruh, I'm a lunatic. I just ordered another Note 20 Ultra for pickup today. Definitely my favorite of the Android phones I've tested recently, and what I'm sticking with for the next year. Ha. I just really like Samsung software these days, especially with the hidden goodies. I ordered the Pitaka Air case, which I was stoked to see that Amazon could get to me on Monday.

Me either!!!
What swung you back to this over the 4a as last I read that device gave you all you wanted / needed at a much lower price point.
I know they're very different devices in terms of functions, so curious to hear your thoughts!

Did you get rid of it originally?

Size. Like, I love small phones, for like a week then I'm ready for something bigger again. Pixel 4a nails the basics, but at the end of the day I want more than the basics, always, ha. And I did miss the versatility of the camera lenses and all of the hidden software tricks that Samsung includes.

I did. Primarily because I wasn't sure I wanted a big phone again (I came from a 5.8" 11 Pro) and the price. I paid full retail two weeks ago and that gave me some buyer's remorse. Today I got it for $690 though. Best Buy was running it at $200 off, and they gave me $410 for my wife's iPhone 11. She took my iPhone 11 Pro.

Good choice! It really is the most versatile phone out there. And the camera improvements are good enough to where I don't feel like I NEED a better camera.

Speaking of the camera, I think the tech reviews really downplayed the 108mp camera. Took my son to the zoo today and mostly used just 108 and came out with amazing shots. Even got my son to do Blue Steel.

Agreed for certain photos it's stunning with the detail it can produce.

It's got such a high amount of modes and different shots you can take. I don't take advantage of it enough really.

Question for those with the Note 20 Ultra. Hope I'm allowed to post in here with me not owning the phone an all (roll eyes).

In this YT's 5 best and worst points of the Note, he mentions the camera shutter is slow to snap which can impact some photos?

it's @4:40 in his video linked below.

Just wondered if those using it had experienced that, or whether it may have just been his device, or patched in an update as this vid is almost a month old now. :)

It's not as fast as the Pixel and iPhone tend to be, certainly, but I mean, it's not really worth getting worked up over what is maybe a one second delay.

Ok thanks. It was more just for things like snapping moving objects - whether it impacted fast moving dogs / kids legging it around etc. :)

Yeah, I can understand that, but in my experience a fast moving object like my cats tends to get blurry anyways no matter what phone I'm shooting with so imo it's a moot point.
