So... on the premiere day of the iPhone 12 I placed an order for the Note 20 Ultra. It comes on Friday, I am really excited and it will be a crazy ride at the beginning after 7 years with an iPhone, but hopefully worth it ?

Got it from Amazon for 949 euros instead of 1266 during the Prime Day, with an additional bonus: three years of manufacturer’s warranty instead of the standard two. I was actually planning to hold off until November, but this deal was just too sweet to miss out on

im likely going to do the same. I’m ready to try Android again. My only problem is what to do for a watch.

I'm not impressed with this years iPhone, i think it looks a lot like the iPhone 5 did. I have to admit that the Note 20 Ultra looks better with the thinner bezels and brighter screen. I don't understand why Apple couldn't of made the bezels thinner like the Note 20 Ultra.

It's the first time i ever been disappointed with an iPhone design and thought that a Samsung one was better!

Personally, I am just as disappointed with this color as I was with the midnight green. To me it looks very dull and I was really hoping for someting like cobalt blue.

Its not light sky blue dull , its metallic gorgeous attractive blue.

I’m sorry but even as an Apple user (and iPhone 11 Pro Max) I can’t defend Apple. They are using a design from the iPhone 5 (which is ridiculous when it’s time to move forward not backwards) not only that but they have removed the charging brick and earbuds.

during pre-orders Samsung were giving away there Buds Live, while Apple are removing earbuds. It’s penny pinching at the highest level, even as an Apple user I can’t defend it.

I totally second that

Won't disagree with the penny pinching--if Apple was genuine in their explanation, they would have passed some of the cost savings onto the customer. But I'm whole heartedly behind the environmental impacts of removing them from the box. Most people don't use either the plug or earbuds and it generates a huge amount of e-waste. At this point, it's unnecessary to include them. If someone genuinely needs a plug or earbuds because it's their first iPhone, they can buy the best option for them--doesn't have to be Apple's versions and if they're smart, they won't be as there are terrific, more efficient and less expensive options available. But Apple is absolutely saving a bunch of money with these measures and should be passing at least some of it onto consumers.

The design aspect is purely subjective. They adopted the same design style for the iPad Pro models a couple of years ago and it's a huge improvement over the curved edge style, IMO. I'm a big fan of it and am super happy it's coming to the new iPhones. And thinner bezels is also a wasted change--more inadvertent touches, especially on stupid curved displays. The 'bezel' arguement was valid when phones still had big foreheads and chins but bitching about an extra mm around the edge seems pretty trivial.

Yet the MagSafe charger and brick come in boxes/package lol. For a nice $94AUD here. No charging brick is a rort
It's just a way to get more $$. Brick cost them $2 sell for $20 haha.

Samsung will be next.

I've been using the Note for the past two days and I'm blown away by the difference the 120Hz display makes. I just picked up my former iPhone X and it feels downright terrible. It's a bit of the difference I've already experienced between the iPads when I upgraded earlier this year, but due to the amount of time I spend with a smartphone, the difference is even more pronounced here.

On the downside, the battery life has not been great, but we will yet see about that when my usage normalises.

Not sure what issues your having. But you can try Samsung newest edition Keys Cafe from the Galaxy Store, has a much deeper level of customization for the Samsung Keyboard. Can resize keys or remap them.

I've had no issue typing on the standard Samsung keyboard, on the contrary, I find it easy to use

Same. Stock Keyboard, No 3rd party launcher... I have no issues staying with Samsung since they are providing useful customization under Good Lock.

Android doesn't have the level of accuracy or haptic feedback IOS does. A big reason I came back to Iphone was the typing was alot more accurate.

Also Samsungs are also a little narrower so it's a bit more cramped than the 11 max which is 3.06 I think in width.

Your best best is learning how to swipe good or trying out swiftkey.
