Android doesn't have the level of accuracy or haptic feedback IOS does. A big reason I came back to Iphone was the typing was alot more accurate.

Also Samsungs are also a little narrower so it's a bit more cramped than the 11 max which is 3.06 I think in width.

Your best best is learning how to swipe good or trying out swiftkey.
The iPhone doesn’t have a haptic keyboard option ... I’m assuming you use a 3rd party keyboard like GBoard that offers one?

Judging by your other posts on the forums, looks like you're here just to hate on Samsung. Why start a thread anyway when there's a perfectly good one dedicated to it?

You could have asked for help/recommendations on a keyboard, instead of describing it how you did. Sounds like it's more user error than the phone.

Sure it looks really nice and all but what the hell is wrong with the typing on it ? I tried using gboard Samsung keyboard swift keyboard all the same old poo. Shame really.
You need to get used to typing on these keyboards. I have the same issues on iOS too. I feel I’m not accurate on both unless I type slower. I used to be a fast typist on my Blackberry phones but on glass, it’s a different story.
I was thinking of upgrading my Note 9 to the Note 20 Ultra too but the cost via Samsung or carrier is still too high.

Typing aside, pros and cons of your new phone?

pros are the screen real estate and also the ability to tweak and customize items more than the iPhone. But that is expected.
I’m not sure what the specs are for ppi but the screen for example when typing this reply looks much sharper on the iPhone than the Note 20 Ultra.I much prefer the iPhone display and mine ain’t even the 11 pro, it’s the XS Max.

Not sure what issues your having. But you can try Samsung newest edition Keys Cafe from the Galaxy Store, has a much deeper level of customization for the Samsung Keyboard. Can resize keys or remap them.
Issues are mistyping and wrong key presses all the time. I’ll look into that , many thanks.

Let me just point out that I’ve being buying and using many Samsung devices since the Note 3. In fact prior to my current iPhone XS that I’m using now, my last iPhone was the 4S.
It’s not a user error issue when one item clearly works more fluidly than the other. It’s just the way it is. Ones design is just light years ahead of the other.

I've been using the Note for the past two days and I'm blown away by the difference the 120Hz display makes. I just picked up my former iPhone X and it feels downright terrible. It's a bit of the difference I've already experienced between the iPads when I upgraded earlier this year, but due to the amount of time I spend with a smartphone, the difference is even more pronounced here.

On the downside, the battery life has not been great, but we will yet see about that when my usage normalises.

Think we know where your objectivity is LOL

Screw Samsung and google.

You have only had a refurb MaxX for a few months after 6 years on Android, selling that and trying out the latest Samsung now

Or maybe you are going to stun us with some more amazing insights in 2 lines :D

If you are going to be happy with your IPhone 12 Gold you said you are ordering then enjoy and save us the grief of your gripes

I mean... Don't feed the troll, there's clearly some issue bigger than iOS vs Android (aka iPhone vs Samsung) choice here 🤣

Dropped and cracked my Note 10+ so stopped by T-Mobile and picked up the Note 20 Ultra. First time actually using the 120hz screen and yeah, I can see why folks hype it up. Very smooth movement. Outside of the slightly larger screen and noticeable heavier weight, not much is really different that I can see from my Note 10+. Of course, I haven't had a chance to take pictures but curious to see how they look.

Two mistakes I made. Went with Mystic Bronze. Yeah not so much....taking it back to exchange for black. I thought I liked it in the store, but more I look at it....don't know what I was thinking. Second....bought a T-Mobile GoTo screen protector. That thing is horrible. I've never seen fingerprints collect on a screen protector as badly as this. I usually buy a screen protector off amazon after researching, but wanted protection right away after dropping and crack my Note 10+. Getting a refund for that piece of crap.

Overall, love the phone so far (just not the color). Have to get used to the weight. I think I would have opted for the base Note 20 if the only difference was size. It is about the same size as my Note 10+, but just too many sacrifices in camera, battery, screen, etc.

I cannot understand why white and black are not matte, just like the mystic bronze. I went for the mystic bronze as I really love it, but satine-like black and white would look way better.

Fun fact is that in Europe the phone comes with a screen protector pre-installed - I guess together with the 256gb base storage and this akg headset included it's just part of the goodies we get as a compensation for Exynos instead of Snapdragon...

Yeah I don't like the bronze at all. Went with the black

My wife has given me up as a lost cause for gadgets :D

Ha, join the club! I realized yesterday my wife had finally given up. I told her I was going to meet someone to buy a Oneplus 8 Pro, in San Marcos, which is 1.5 hours away. I braced for the smackdown. Instead, she said, I'll place a pick up order for you at Chipotle since it's on the way and you won't be home for dinner. :p

Yeah, I had thoughts similar as yours. Using that 120hz is definitely refreshing.

Yeah, I prefer Black to the Bronze color. The matte finish on the Bronze model helps to avoid fingerprints, but I like the stealth look of black phones.

Sounds like a keeper :) Not had a Chipolte brick in about 7 years

My wife got me back last month she came home and said she finally decided to have her lenses replaced Surgically as it cost less than my gadgets she thought, so it was ok

Good job she does not know the real cost else she may of had a few more bits altered LOL
