It might be obvious but have you enabled the wireless power share option? I didn't realise at first when trying out charging another phone.

Got it sorted now! I wasn't laying it face down as wanted to look at both screens to make sure it was working. Instead I laid my watch face down and put to s10 on top face up. Connected straight away to charge.

initial thoughts after a few hours:

display is simply crisp and beautiful!
My last Samsung was the S8, so I still need to adapt to Android/One UI again...this will take some time.

I am not a big fan of the fingerprint sensor yet, but I am fully aware of the learning curve. But on the other hand there is a limit to that learning curve.

Still looking for a good 3rd party Android app so I can continue using my iCloud email.

The OS overall feels super fluid and snappy, what a difference compared to the S8 a few years ago ;)

and off we go continue installing my apps, go to the several settings

Two must have apps you should install from the Galaxy Store .... Samsung Music and Good Lock.
Love Samsung Music! Its a great free app :)

I sure hope the battery improves over time. I've only used it for 19 minutes and I'm down to 92% from full.
Is it still being setup? Has it had time to settle? Is it still updating apps from the playstore? Everyone's experiences and preferences differ on how they setup their phones.
Personally I turn off bluetooth. I set my display brightness to about 50% that is bright enough for me :)
I don't use AOD on this phone.
Then I have noticed with a new phone I am app to play around with it more than I normally would.
Go into device care...battery...then battery usage. Check what your screen time is.

Does anyone know of a good way to stream music from my playlists to an avr? On iOS I can simply play music and then select it instead of the iPhone / iPad speakers. But so far I can only do it through the Yamaha avr app but it doesn't show the playlists on my phone.

I set everything up last night, did all the updates & synced everything. Charged it up to 100% and put it in airplane mode and went to bed. 5 hours later it was on 99% and then with 19 mins screen time, was on 92%.

It's now on 54% and 3 hours 23 screen time, which is better but that initial drain seemed excessive.

Whats 3rd party inferior products got to do with it.

Samsung gives you a solution in the box, if that's not your preference then wait for 3rd parties to catch up not Samsung

If this is all you can find to gripe about along with your wrong settings on whatsapp, your really clutching at straws to post such minor personal preference negativism

We wonder why some report not enough positive feedback I don't think we have to if this is the sum of - points on owning a S10/S10+

I have the S10e, so getting a screen protector isn't an issue for me. It's a potential issue for many Samsung users. Not everyone is going to a take a chance on a Whitestone Dome's astronomical $50 USD price point or risk dealing with a hit or miss application process. The curved displays have had criticism before and it will happen again for that very concern. MKBHD did a video on glass protectors not working with the S10 series. Only one so far is Whitestone Dome.
[doublepost=1552141368][/doublepost]Has anyone had this issue: Whenever I restart my phone, it says phone starting along with showing an Android P logo.

I factory reset my phone once and the issue went away when I set the phone up as completely brand new.

When I factory reset the phone again with restoring my phone from the Samsung Cloud, the same error message appeared. What should I do to fix it?

Case just turned up from Amazon. Went with a Tozo one.
It's clear with a hard plastic back, but the sides are rubberised. Fits really nicely.

Didn't think I'd like it as much as I do. Was tempted by an official Samsung one (prob silicone) but might just keep rocking this for my trial period with it.

I got the tozo case too! Love it .Perfect minimalist covering

Edit. I got the one that's plastic all around. Similar to MNML cases

Nice!
I've just come out of the Samsung store here in the Trafford Centre.
Was looking to get an official case too but decided against it.
They had more for the Plus and the E than the regular S10.

The leather seemed like too much of a stretch money wise when I'm still not sure if I'm even keeping the phone!

There was a flamingo silicone case and I was tempted, but I think I'd want to just stick to black and that one wasn't available.

Sales of the S10 models have exceeded expectations

Galaxy S10 Has 'Best-Ever' Preorder Sales in US

https://www.tomsguide.com/us/galaxy-s10-sales,news-29595.html
Lol well they might have to adjust for me. I currently have two preorders going. I haven't canceled my s10+ order yet. I'm actually currently on my husband's s10+ . I found out he didn't have blue light filter turned on so I turned it on and it does help. :D

Also we had a storm front that had moved in and gave everybody here migraines. So now that I got that over with I will try again. It's still not as easy on the eyes as my Pixel 3xl display. But let's see if I can get by at all.

Of course if I can get by, ugh, which of my preorders do I keep? The larger phone has the battery life advantage and the telephoto lens and a big display for movies. The little phone is pocket friendly and has a nice flat display without those dratted edges. The s10e can take a screen protector and can therefore go into any case I want. Is ridiculously cute and light. Comes with 256gb onboard storage vs 128. (However, I'm not sure I'll need that much).

Lol, I probably should have preordered the regular s10! The middle or Goldilocks choice, perhaps.

But at the time, I'd decided to buy a Samsung as a gaming machine and portable entertainment center. So I went for the expansive display.

I don't care how well the fps does or doesn't work. My XR face ID fails a lot because I forget to hold the phone up enough so I'm used to entering passcodes anyway. However my husband finds it works well enough. (To be clear, face ID on my Xr is accurate but the problem is it looks for a face sometimes before I'm ready to aim it properly)

Since my preorders are held up in a queue I guess I'll try and see how the s10+ works for me....without the stupid film on it:mad: and if it doesn't work out I will send it back without shipping off my S9+ and wait for the s10e order to be released. I guess in this case Samsung's policy of limiting one trade in deal per household at a time works in my favor.

There is sort of a pink or cream cast with the blue light filter on, but it eases my vision by a noticeable amount. And it is a very slight cast. It reminds me a little of True Tone on my iPhone 8 plus.

Has anyone received the $130 e-certificate from Samsung yet?

Since I already have iconX buds (basically the original version of the Galaxy buds) I'll probably use mine towards a galaxy active watch and give smart watches one last chance. I've tried fitbits and a mobi watch and didn't really get much out of them.

Why don't you release the power button once the Samsung logo comes up? If you keep pressing it, the phone will boot into safe mode.

GM glad you have decided to try the S10+ a bit more you beat me too it as I was going to suggest playing with the filters, colour balance etc to see if it eases your woes

Best of luck

Why don't you release the power button once the Samsung logo comes up? If you keep pressing it, the phone will boot into safe mode.

I booted in safe mode to troubleshoot. The error message showed up regularly on restart. I did a Dalvik cache wipe, factory data reset, and rebooted into safe mode. I pinpoint the error as either Samsung first party apps or somewhere my data restore being corrupted.

The message disappeared upon two factory resets when I didn't log into my Google or Samsung accounts. I am going to work on restoring my device completely now. If that doesn't work, I am going to call Samsung. If they're not going to be of much use, I'll restore a fresh data transfer from my iPhone.

If all that hassle doesn't address the problems, I might have to ask for a warranty exchange. I doubt Samsung will do that because they're going to tell me to re-order a new phone and pay more than I paid at pre-order time. In that case, I am going to return the S10e and go back to my iPhone XS Max.

It's so much hassle to have my plans foiled due to software bugs. I wanted to switch because Samsung made the changes I wanted and I could save $ in the process. Sadly, I may have to go back to iOS and see what WWDC holds for iOS 13. If not, Pixel 4 this fall.

So let me get this right Samsung offer one of the most complete in box solutions and those that pre ordered also get other bundles included making a whole package

So your gripe is if you remove the pre install protector its some how Samsung's fault there is not cheap alternatives out there to suit your preferences

I think your reality meter needs more of a reboot than your S10e :D

Whilst there were some users who struggled to find a perfect screen protector on previous curved screens Samsung addressed this issue with the S10's with an inclusive one so, no its not the same issue as before

I am not even 100% confident in the protective film they put on it. I was going to replace the S10e's with a tempered glass. I am just stating a problem people will run into. Nothing wrong with that.
