My instant Galaxy Buds reaction is oh my heavens these look a million times better than Airpods in my ears. And I never been one to make jokes about AirPods.

I bought a pair of galaxy buds this afternoon. They're in my ears now.

Sound quality appears fine for something so small. Case is well built.
Noise cancelling extras don't seem to make much difference.

I’m jealous of Aneres having a Samsung store close to you.

I don't really like the Samsung store if i'm honest. It's basically like a night club version of the Apple store. Electric blue LED strip lighting, loud, pounding dance music and staff that are not hugely helpful. (This is just my experience of the one near me).

One thing I will say about Apple stores is they're nice places to visit and wander round (unless they're stupidly busy), with a great atmosphere.

Lol I see

How long is the wait? What made you go bigger? Was S10 too small?

I used my max today for a bit and I don't miss it at all. Which shows how great the S10 plus is

S10 was a great size - feel in hand etc was fantastic. I just found myself using it to watch video content on a lot which I never usually did on my XR as videos didn't look amazing and I'd just prefer to grab my Chromebook for it. But the S10 screen is so good that I found myself enjoying video on it. The larger screen will be welcome for that.

I just wanted something a little bigger and decided to return the normal S10 whilst I still could.

It's just a case of waiting for the refund of the S10 before buying a Plus. But I might just buy one tomorrow providing there is some stock.

When is the best time to buy a Galaxy S series device? I think June, right? I was trying to talk to Samsung to do an exchange for me. I am tired of iOS and Apple.

Has anyone in the UK had the £50 off accessories offer in the benefits section of the Samsung members app? I haven’t and wondering if it’s because I got the free wireless buds pre order. Supposed to run until 29th March and lots have had it.

AirPods are going to my mom. Love, love, love these buds, man. They take everything about the Jabra Elite 65t, which I do like better than AirPods, and wrap them into a more comfortable package. The Jabra's put way too much pressure on my smaller ears, to the point where the seal almost made my ears feel stuffed. These are just slightly more open. Good balance between the fit of Jabra's and AirPods imo. Sound great, look great, I'm sure the battery will be great, and oh my wireless charging on true wireless earbuds is a godsend for me.

I had the exact same problem with the Jabra that you did. Glad that the buds don't cause that for either of us.

Let me know if you find a way to mute the phone sounds (ringtone) while the buds are being used? For some reason my S10 still rings even though I'm wearing the buds...no clue why, or where to change that.

I'd also love to find a way to have Google Assistant speak my notifications instead of the Samsung voice. Getting an alert from an app just says "message from <name>" "WhatsApp". I like the way GA does it with my Bose QC35 II.

SoundAssistant through the Good Lock should solve this. Once you are in SoundAssistant, go to advanced settings and the setting is there for alerts through headphones.

Thanks! I'll try that. Never would have thought it was in another app.
Haha yeah, it’s odd. I tested it out and it worked for me. Before, the phone AND earbuds would ring while I had them in and then when I turned that setting on the phone no longer rings, just the buds.

This is so right. I went into my first Samsung 'experience' store this week and hated every moment. I rated it 2 stars on Google Maps and a manager asked for more feedback so I gave them some. Horrible music, staff standing around chatting about their lack of sales/commission, asking if I want help every 30 seconds. As soon as I did what I went there to do I left quickly. In an Apple Store I quite like just wandering about looking at stuff and feeling no pressure whatsoever.

Day 7 into the S10e. Battery drain has been worse than I expected but I'm still getting through the day with over 25% left so it is tolerable. I continue to love everything else about the phone, it's the perfect size. I used a headphone jack to listen to music last night for the first time in over a year. Now that I have lossless FLAC files on my phone, why not.

I'm using my XS for work email and VOIP calls...man...even though iOS is bland I just miss the fluidity and fewer steps / swipes to get things done, the overall experience. With the Pixel 3 XL and S10e I still oftentimes press buttons with the side of my face when on a call. Somehow I enabled do not disturb, vibrate, hung up on the call, and flashlight all at once, amazingly. This has never (rarely?) been an issue on any iPhone I've used. You all know the feeling I'm describing so I won't get into it. From a value and killer features perspective, it doesn't get any better than the S10e in my opinion. Samsung hit one out of the park. I enjoy it much more than the S10+. But all these little things keep adding up over time (on any Android) and start to pull me back toward the iPhone. As I'm sure happens to almost everyone posting here haha.

I just signed up to try Freshly meal delivery service yesterday. Of course they only have an app on iOS and not Android. Why would they...the little things...
I actually used to make phone calls almost exclusively on my Android phones, especially my Samsungs, because the call quality in all of my iPhones was so bad. My Xr is the first iPhone I've owned in years, maybe the first one ever, that sounds good as a phone.

It sounds like the S10E falls apart for you ergonomically as a phone due to being too small. It may be preferable in size for every other function but awkward as a phone. Everything you've described reminds me of the awkwardness I've felt using an iPhone SE as a phone. I used to smash it into my cheek while trying to adjust my grip on it.

But it also sounds like the screen fails to turn off properly when in use as a phone and this may relate back to the proximity sensor bug that's letting the phones turn on in pockets.
