So I may have come across 2 issues today after a full day at work, ones that I'm hopeful to work out.

1. My fingerprint scanner success rate went from probably above 90% to about 60%. Part of it may have been because I was snacking a couple times and maybe I had greasy thumbs. Another part of it might be that I was busy at work and wasn't paying as close attention to how I was pressing on the screen. So it might fix itself naturally.

2. I've had random apps open on me immediately after unlocking the screen a couple times. This one is strange. One time it was Outlook, the next time it was Slack. Then Google. No real rhyme or reason. Something I'll keep an eye on as well.
I figured out the second problem. I had checked on Smart Relay on my watch. As the Apple folks say, "It's not a bug, it's a feature!"

How are the film screen protectors holding up? Assuming there are some of you who kept yours on. I’m astonished my husband still has his in place.

Has anyone gone with the Whitestone dome?

I had a terrible migraine yesterday and lost fine control of my limbs and speech for a few hours, though thankfully I was spared any pain that most people think always comes with a migraine. I was just extra clumsy. I couldn’t hold onto anything properly. I think I’m going to need some extra protection on the display after all.

The stock one? It's already looking pretty sad for only 2 weeks of use on mine. It scratches easy, and is starting to have a wavy look. I am going to have to remove it soon. So I guess it's time to try the expensive one from Whitestone. I've had it on my Note 9, and it was great.

72% now which is fab compared to what I was getting on LTE.

I appreciate that most people won't be keen to restore but these devices are mini computers and sometimes, they just need a wipe and clean start.

They are pushing more than the average and there are so many tweaks available on the play store that its easy to install something that completely messes up the device.

My battery is much improved and I imagine that it is still optimising following the fresh start.

Any case recommendations for a S10e?

I waited a few days to post to see what happens. I got the Whitestone Dome Glass for my S10e. The company really screwed up with the Pixel 3 XL; cheaper flimsy trays, speaker cover stickers that don't stick, convoluted install method, and questionable adhesive. I went through two and finally trashed the replacement they sent.

With the S10e (can't speak for S10 or S10+) they went back to the old install method and it is totally flawless. Hard rigid plastic trays, extremely sticky speaker cover sticker, the old pin removal method to set the protector onto the phone vs. that weird slider thingy they came up with, and no issues after 4-5 days with adhesive. There is no spider webbing or edge raising and it fits the screen perfectly.

Don't listen to the bad reviews on Amazon re: the phone or protector sliding around in the trays. They didn't do it right. You may need to remove and replace the two white adhesive absorption pads on the top tray; adjust them a bit higher inside the top tray. This makes the top tray snap right into the bottom tray and everything is very snug. The screen protector then shouldn't slide underneath the tray.

Battery update following the full restore.

I'm on 85% - off charger at 7am. This is much better, as yesterday at this time I was on 69%.

Same usage and commute

Did you do a factory reset and then restore from a Google (or Samsung) back up? Or did you do a factory reset and just manually download your apps from the Play store? I'm thinking of doing a reset myself, curious which way you went.

I did a full factory reset and didn't restore from any form of back ups other than WhatsApp chat restore.

I've noticed that I'm getting fast LTE speeds on my commute in spots where I previous didn't get data despite having a signal.

Its 6pm nearly and I'm on 55% with heavy usage all day.

I don't have a S10, nor do I have any plans to get one but I did just pull the trigger on a pair of black Galaxy Buds from AT&T. I'm passing my AirPods on to my son and was looking for an adequate replacement to use with my Pixel --the current 25% off Samsung accessories made it almost a no brainier. And I'm not even an AT&T customer. :D

Only one downside to that. . . I paired mine with my XS Max last night, and noticed that they don't sound nearly as good as they do on my S10. I'm sure this is due to the Dynamic EQ that isn't available on iOS. In Spotify I changed the EQ and they sounded nearly as good as they do on the Galaxy. Unfortunately this isn't a setting that is stored on the buds (as the tap functions are on the AirPods).

GM, I assume your order is on hold because both your husband and you are doing trade-ins. If so, and your husband's trade-in has been delivered to Samsung's processing center, try giving Samsung a call and asking for the hold to be released so your order will ship.

I think it can take up to two weeks to process the trade-ins. You shouldn't have to wait that long for your new phone.

I noticed the same when I connected the Buds to my MBP.

But can't you use the Gear app for iOS? I'm going to try it out on my 8+.
Edit: looks like the Gear app on iOS is for watches only.
