Really quite disappointed in my experience ordering from Samsung for my Watch Active.

I placed my order on Monday evening and the watch was in stock. It is still in stock and has been in stock since I ordered it.

The delivery was automatically set to free next working day, meaning it would come today.

Last night I went to check my order status and when I logged into my account it didn't show me as having any active or previous orders. So I called them to check it was ordered and they fobbed me off saying it's ordered and it'll be delivered tomorrow (today) so I said no problem - just checking.

Fast forward to today. Nothing has been received. Managed to now check my order status and it is showing as 'preparing dispatch'.
Strange as it should have been dispatched well before now.

So I called them again today. Extremely unhelpful.
Couldn't tell me why, couldn't really care less attitude on the phone.

They said it depends where I am in the queue for dispatch. I said what kind of answer is that?
He said delay has been big for the Watches so I said then why stock still showing on the website - surely you'd be able to tell me if there was stock shortages? He just ignored me and said you will get it tomorrow or Friday. So I said well when will I get this. I should have had it today why hasn't it dispatched. He just said you will hopefully get it before the weekend.

I gave up. Terrible experience. Awful customer service. I don't actually care that I don't have it and am waiting on delivery, I just want to know when. When the website shows as in stock and has done since ordering, there's no reason it shouldn't be here. The fact they can't tell me anything is baffling.

Not good at all.
Yeah I'm going to suggest emailing them. That's the only way I was able to get good service unfortunately. They straight up lied to me about my preorder for the S10.

Might only have 3 hours SOT but I took it off the charger 41 hours ago and 21 hours has been 4G only.

I've found no matter what settings I use, I have to force close the Samsung browser, otherwise it'll keep using battery in the background.

I definitely prefer having to play around with things to see what works best. Rather than the same old of iOS.
It's all part of the fun.

Yeah EE

So factor reset? You start it as new then? What did you transfer over?
Full factory yes. I applied the update before the reset. I only restored my WhatsApp chats from Google drive - nothing else.

So no photos transfer? As I don't want to lose my files or photos

Lol this just gets better.
Now I can't send them a simple email. The page to send when I hit send just keeps pinging to the top as if there is mandatory information that is missing.
Absolutely ridiculous.

Hate to be 'that' guy but I'm going to say it. Apple's ordering system and customer service is light years agead of this garbage.

Oh you're fine saying that. Lol. You can love the product and hate the customer service.

That was my experience also in ordering from Google. I didn't call them but my status on my husband's phone and on mine was extremely difficult to interpret.

And of course you know my pre order has been in limbo. I really don't mind the wait because I just keep waffling about which size I want.

Well I kind of keep leaning to the regular S10 but my husband keeps heavily pressuring me (in a friendly way) into the S10+. He really does think it's the best and I'll kick myself for going smaller.

I can get a 512GB S-10 and keep it affordable but I get teased mercilessly talking about that option. In the end, I'll get what I want, but there are so many excellent points in favor of each model, it's hard to figure out what I want. It's a great dilemma to have! :)

They told me my order would definitely ship on the 8th. Guaranteed! Then when they didn't they said it would ship the Sunday after and it didn't. They just made it up as they went along basically.

No, I have all my photos in Google photos Just enable Google photos and sync your folders - they'll be there when you log back in.
Something must be using it on data to be doing this.. Can't be bothered resetting at the moment

Maybe when my days off are here

Just a pain to have to do it.

Nice! Yeah I'll point this more out next Monday when I consolidate my thoughts. But I've owned several Samsungs, most recently the S8. This phone "feels" different than any Samsung in regards to performance and battery.

I may factory reset it on Friday if battery life is still bad tomorrow at work. Going to be a busy working day tomorrow so I will barely touch the phone until late afternoon

Frustrating today as battery life is great on WiFi

Yeah, Samsung is terrible to deal with. I just finally got done with my mess of my Note 9 order cancellation that Samsung refused to do after 1.5 months. I called a few days after ordering it, they said they couldn't cancel it as it went to the warehouse to ship. It took 1.5 months after that to get them to finally cancel it after I contacted the BBB to threaten them and the office of the president contacted me. And then I had to work with AT&T to get the line reset. I will never order directly from Samsung again.

I just confirmed something odd and interesting. I can not order a Samsung phone through the Shop Samsung app on my iPhone. I can order watches, phone cases, phone accessories. Washing machines. Vacuums. But even doing a search for the phones, any Samsung phone turns up just their accessories.

I can of course order via the web site.

I was just trying to see if I can still order an S10 and do a trade in of my S9+. I haven’t canceled my S10+ pre order yet because my husband placed it through his account. Which I find incredibly annoying but he did it after we canceled my first pre order to put his order first on the queue again after he screwed up his very first preorder. This whole thing has been a comedy.

Eh he let me play around with tbe S10+ again. It really isn't that heavy. I guess I'll keep my pre order alive. At this point it will be fun just to see how long it ends up taking. And who knows, if I wear a wrist brace and take some anti inflammatory meds for awhile, my wrist might heal by the time the phone arrives. :p

The way things are going for @GrumpyMom I wonder if the pre order will lapse to the s11+ o_O
Actually, the S10 5G will be announced in Korea on April!

No need to do a factory reset. Go into settings / General management / Reset
Then click on reset Accessibility settings
then click on Reset Network Settings
Then Click on Reset ALL settings
Your phone will reboot after that.

The issue is some phones get corrupted settings when you setup the phone using Smart switch or from google servers thats prevents the phone from going into Deep sleep. There is also a VOIP bug.

I have the Exynos version S10 plus and have gotten 2 full days of standby out of it with over 5 hours SOT, its a battery beast.

I've been debating about picking up an S10+ and came across this article today while doing some research. Seems like I should wait a couple of weeks before I make a final decision.

Nice but no SD slot. Not an issue for some given that the on board storage is a good size. I wonder if it retains the headphone jack. It's definitely bigger than I want to go without an S Pen. 5G would be totally lost on me out here in the rural side of life.

It's definitely worth looking at, though. I think it's going to showcase some exciting new upgrades.
