Yeah that would be just crazy at this point...iPad mini and tab is 7.9/8.0 and that’s a tablet
I know manufactures can make them bigger overall if they really wanted to, but a decent amount of extra screen size recently has been down to slimming bezels. And now there's hardly anything left, they're about as big as they're going to get.

do we know for sure they'll have a 1440p 120Hz mode? or be similar to what Samsung is doing? I haven't seen the latest rumors this week, haven't had a chance to catch up.

What are you all buying this phone for? I mean, what's it's selling feature you are after? *If I go the as is, non rootable route and grab this* it's basically because it's a massive upgrade (ultra) over my s7e, and it'll be a set it and forget it device.

Man...these phones are going to be beasts!
Cameras and batteries and that SD 865!
Can't wait for 2/11
They will surely be fun to check out. This forum is going to be jumping. I can't believe it's time for the new Samsung S's already. It feels like only a short time ago I preordered my Flamingo pink S10+. I am kind of sad I didn't keep it very long, because I did love that color, but my Note 10+ has been worth it.

I don't feel like I have had enough time with it, though, so I'll be holding on to my Note and sit out the S-series and stay the course on the Note series. Unless they do something I find objectionable to the Note series this year. But if I'm going to go big to get the best cutting edge features, I want the S-Pen.

I may not even upgrade Notes this year. I got a lot going on with home improvements. And we still have crappy 4G. No sign of 5G. But whatever...I'll be here to drool over the phones as always. Some people are all about Fashion Week. I'm all about phone debuts!

So glad they are keeping the SD Card slot....

Storage options, big battery, all Snapdragon
Interestingly, it’s also leaked that the Galaxy S20 Ultra will come in 128/256/512GB configurations, with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM. It will also keep the microSD card slot.
You can expect a massive 5000mAh battery in the Galaxy S20 Ultra, plus 45W fast charging that can totally rejuice the phone in just 74 minutes.

Additionally, since Samsung is stepping away from the custom CPU core market, it’s been rumored that many more models of the phone will launch with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 CPU, leaving fewer regions with an Exynos variant. That also almost definitely confirms 5G compatibility across the board for these phones, since Qualcomm is not separating the 5G modem from the SD865 for anyone. If you want the best from Qualcomm, you have to get 5G with it.

Some cracks are starting to show. Seems like it might still be using the old fingerprint scanner and refresh limited to lower resolution would be really dumb.
My scanner is turned off. I use my passcode. It is less aggravating this way. I honestly don't even think twice about it.

Best in class hardware. Best in class specs. High refresh screen. Most importantly, no corners cut or weaknesses (looking at you Google).

While I like all the options, it does seem to reek of ADHD and desperation just a little bit on Samsung part.

Seems like I can't actually focus on the product or something like that 🤷🏾‍♂️.

So it’s actually 5x optical zoom and not 10x optical zoom, more fake rumours and false news going around lately then.

But as it’s got a 108mp camera, it will probably do almost lossless 10x zoom.

I did hear this on the android police podcast yesterday.

That happens with every new Samsung flagship. The rumors promise so much. Expectations get elevated, because really, they’re not unrealistic at all. I mean they fit in with what sounds feasible to implement. But then the actual specs come out and we each get that WTF moment. Every. Single. Time.

This time, it sounds like the expectations were definitely not realistic. It sounds like there are space constraints that had to be considered. Battery constraints. It’s not going to be the worst letdown, as long as the battery capacities keep up with the rumors. I think it’s going to be a strong lineup. Hell, I think last year’s lineup was strong. Which is why I am not eager to part with the Note 10+ I’ve got in hand.

Apple and Pixel made me very happy with their phones in 2019. They can’t make me mad in 2020 unless they arbitrarily remove a key feature I’ve been using that works well.

Don’t forget much more important than a diagonal measurement is what aspect ratio we’re taking about. A 7.9” 4:3 screen such as an iPad mini has screen 28% more display area over a 20:9 7.9” screen.

20% more display area for 16:9 videos on the 4:3 screen and 23% smaller for 2.35:1 aspect ratio videos.

Two with 12MP One with 108MP, Some with 5G, some without. 120hz on FHD only 60 on QHD, etc... Just feels like a lot too much.

I know... But something doesn't feel coherent.
LOL....look at the Apple offerings...... Some with USB-C some without...can't sync your iphone to the latest MBP without an extra accessory. Then what is up with the touch bar? I mean some have it some do not....then why not a touch screen MBP? Why not just go full USB-C? Some iPads have lightning...some have USB-C....something doesn't feel coherent

Let's be honest. Samsung could offer 1 device that does everything a phone, tablet, pc, and gaming station does, and the haters would still come out to this section trolling.

All those downsides... yet I still like using Apple products.

c'est la vie :p
