All those downsides... yet I still like using Apple products.

c'est la vie :p
Exactly the point I have made so many times here......
Use what you like and prefer! But don't come in here just to point out the negatives about another platform to justify your own choices. I doesn't make your choices more important.
c'est comme ça que ça se passe?

Normally I would be all over these new releases especially as 2019 was a bumper year with the 10+, Note10+ and the Fold

I was particularly impressed with the Note both styling specs and of course the SPen

However the lure of the Fold realestate and convenience was too great to hold on to the Note

For me Samsung may loose out this year the S20,s styling is less appealing over the Note despite spec bumps even with 120 refresh rates which are a bit OTT for dailies

But the real draw for me vs even the mighty Note or the niche Fold is what Samsung and MS put in to the new Duo and how that integrates with the Neo etc

Of course Samsung could knock me sideways with a Fold 2 but it would have to be seriously sexy, metallic and with an SPen

LOL....look at the Apple offerings...... Some with USB-C some without...can't sync your iphone to the latest MBP without an extra accessory. Then what is up with the touch bar? I mean some have it some do not....then why not a touch screen MBP? Why not just go full USB-C? Some iPads have lightning...some have USB-C....something doesn't feel coherent
Some with Touch ID, some with Face ID, some with 1 camera, some with 2 cameras, some with 3 cameras. Some with wireless charging some without.

Some people don’t have access to 5G and won’t have for a few years. At least Samsung is giving them an option not to pay more for a feature they can’t use.

Interesting size comparison
I'm liking the rounded corners on the Ultra

Now just need to see prices.

I have to say, I like the way colors pop on these Samsung devices. IPhone I know tries to be true to life but it's just not going to catch eyes. Even their screens are so obviously different in color, so the cameras would be too. I'm struggling to enjoy this Pro Max as much as I should be.

The PPI is just so low on it. The screen is overly warm. Colors are dull. I'm used to my LG G8 ThinQ. I can't imagine going from a Note 10 to an iPhone. It would be like going from normal vision to being colorblind.

Put the Galaxy S10 or Note 10 in natural display mode and now you’ve got an iPhone 11 Pro Max. Apple’s AMOLED implementation is the best I’ve seen from color accuracy, automatic color management, and black crush. I do wish the PPI was higher than 458.

I did some number crunching on those display sizes now that we know the PPI. S20+ is really 6.68” and the S20 Ultra is 6.86”. The 11 Pro Max is 6.46” diagonal.

That means the S20+ only gives you 5% more screen real estate over an 11 Pro Max and 2% more for 16:9 videos. The Ultra gives 11% more total area and 8% more for 16:9 videos if anybody is wondering. We just keep getting taller phones but the diagonal measurements are getting a bit misleading I feel! The vertical growth in these phones doesn’t help much.

Just wish Apple would allow for the more dynamic color range. It's very hard on the eyes when going between my G8 and my Pro Max.

I get that they wanted true colors but with most Android devices, you get a choice. I'd choose dynamic.

Perhaps this might be a feature in the future, it would certainly be welcome.

I haven't checked if this iPhone has black crush. My LG V30+ had it bad but my G8 doesn't. I'll do a little testing in the dark today on the Pro Max. I know I can't stand dark mode on this OLED screen but I can't figure out why. It just makes my eyesight blurry. My eyes start hurting.
