I haven't read all the rumors and comments, but why the change from Galaxy s11 or s12 to 20 all of a sudden? U wonder if it's something really superficial where they want the common consumer to think their phone is better than the iPhone because 20 sounds like more than 11 or 12.

Samsung now has the most meaningful naming system. As soon as you hear S20, S21, S22, etc..., you know exactly which year the phone came out. S20 means 2020 release, and so forth. Makes more sense than any other phone naming scheme. It definitely helps the everyday consumer who doesn't follow tech on which release is the newest.

I knew Samsung follows our posts LOL.

I won’t be able to import a Snapdragon! I will be upgrading via Vodafone so unfortunately it will be Exynos, I can only hope it’s better this time around!

Obviously being in the UK, I can only get a Snapdragon by importing and buying outright but I’m due for an upgrade with Vodafone so I’ll be ordering one and testing it as I’ll have 14 days to return it, hopefully I’ll be keeping it.
I personally think so...my battery life was poor to average with my s10 plus but people here were getting better results and I put that down to the chip...

Amazon follows the same convention with their Fire tablets. Fire 7th gen is 2017, Fire 9th gen is 2019, etc.

I know I'd really like the Ultra, but I'm going to be sensible with excessive phone purchases this year. Maybe even wait for the inevitable Note 11.

Its not excessive if you sold your current phone with a very good price.

With the way price is rocketing i think people will sell their cars to buy flagship phones next few years 🤨
I have cut waaay back on phone purchases. I'm only going to get 3 phones this year.
I want the Microsoft Duo....but will wait to see what the reviews are and maybe wait for Duo 2?
S20 Ultra
Pixel 5 XL
iPhone 12 if it has something or will keep the 11 PM another year

I know I know, self driving smart phones! 🤔 😜
No idea where that came from... Caffeine I guess lol

I'm about 25% for the ultra. Maybe 25% for the XL 4 also. My phone buys have gone down considerably

I’ll likely be getting the Ultra if it’s $1200 or lower and depending on the trade in and presale offers.

Going through 5/6 phones like I did last year, is excessive to me. I didn’t spend stupid money, but I need to stick with a phone longer than I have been doing.

Selling Samsung phones second hand in the UK, you simply don’t get a very good price.
