Yeah just seen that but shame there’s no 256GB. They are doing an apple if you want more storage you get the 512GB.

I know the pro max 512GB is £1500 so that’s bad too but Apple can get away with it at time’s but not sure Samsung should play the same game
At least it has an SD card slot and it‘s nowhere near as bad Apple with their 64gb, which really does force a lot of people to the next model up.

Looking forward to seeing what improvements they’ve made with camera software and real word use. Not tempted in the slightest to pre order, I’d only want a SD model and imports are always £1/200 cheaper than full retail.

To be honest I’ve not used telephoto loads on my pro max and wouldn’t use 30x loads but it’s nice to have and you never know when you may use it.
2 x isn’t really much of an improvement over the standard. I do use the 2x zoom but would use it a lot more if it could get closer. I use the telephoto lens all the time but that’s for portrait shots.

Upstate NY . Was FL.
Yep, lmao. A few months after the Note 10 was launched, there were $300+ discounts on it. When it comes to Androids, patience is key to saving money.
Yep, in any case , I'm more inclined to to the Note series. So we'll see what that brings to the table. If anything. I'd probably jump over it , if the screen was flat with a 7" plus screen but I won't be holding my breath.

PS. Is that Neneh Cherry in your Avatar?

Okay I went ahead and reserved the baby blue S20 with a trade in value of $300 for my Pixel 3XL. Google was only going to give me $200 for it. That’s the best I’m going to get for a phone I hardly ever use anymore.

I wanted the Z Flip but it’s too damned expensive. It’s just a reservation so if I change my mind I can do so. Maybe the reservation process for the Z Flip will give me a deal that makes the Z Flip less painful.

Either way I will get a smallish phone again I can carry with my 11 Pro. Because I’m insane.

I’m not liking the colors so in a case it goes.

i didn’t even check. Do they all still have micro SD card slots?

Edit2: just checked as I sit here waiting at the school. Yes they all have SD card slots. Whew!

I shall reassess my stance on Samsung when the Note20+ arrives.

I want that yummy 6.9inch Display, Camera and 16GB RAM from the S20 Ultra 512GB, but I want it with an SPen and more squared off design.

Also need to see what the iPhone 12 Pro Max brings.

Interesting times.

Yeah note is the one to wait for imo similar specs but the pen. Can imagine that will be near 1500

Pro max will be hard as there isn’t many rumours apart from 120HZ and bigger sensors

Apparently it’s coming out in a few days in South Korea. I thought they would mention it at least to refresh people’s memory.

There’s no mention of it anywhere on Samsung’s US site. Searching just brings you to their page on Bixby.

Yeah, I’m more into the Note series... never really been interested in the S series. But if they bringing all those S20 Ultra goodies to the upcoming Note, then most certainly expect a price hike!

lol. no thanks :) I think if the size and weight was a little closer to the Note 10+ I'd be persuaded to, but with the cost and the size, I'm going to have to pass ;)
The S20 Plus is probably more comparable to my Note 10+.

I got some teenagers input on the Z Flip vs the S20. Teenagers say it makes more sense to go for the S20. I’d get significantly better specs for lots less money. I’m afraid I haven’t raised any Instagram Influencers the phone is supposed to be targeted to. Lol. Really nobody understands why I was even considering the Z Flip. They still consider it a prototype.

Eh, I just liked it.

So I wasn’t able to watch the event, obviously the specs of the camera are improved, but did Samsung talk at all about technology and software to improve the final result?

Not that I saw. Some are speculating the ridiculous camera specs in the Ultra are to makeup for lack of catching up on the software processing side. But thats just respeculation. We wont know until reviews start coming out.

At this point, I honestly think Samsung is just throwing stuff out to see what sticks. I feel they decided to bring out this flip phone was because of the newest Moto Razr.

Because why bring this out? They already have the Galaxy Fold... put more resources into making sure that's a solid product before bringing out another foldable prototype. I'm definitely interested in the Galaxy Fold.. but I want more reassurance that they ironed out majority of the issues. Imagine the Galaxy Fold.. mixed in with the Note series, bringing along all the S-Pen features.
