Oh please, I've experienced much worse with Samsung when they weren't supposed to be having any long wait times (Note 9, S10+). They've finally just decided to be honest about it. Lol, yeah I'm salty!

And unless 120hz is an absolute must, the Note 10+ is the better buy right now. If you go with the 512gb model, it’s currently $550 cheaper than the Ultra 512gb model.

I have no flipping idea. I was going to originally trade my Pixel 3XL in at $300 for the S20 which would make it $699 not counting all the taxes.
But due to a LOT of weird brain processes inside my hard little Hamster skull that I won’t bore you all with now, I’m preferring the idea of keeping the 3XL even if it will have almost no value after this deal expires and trading my Note10+ instead.
Now I just don’t know if it will be for the S20 at $299 or the S20+ at a higher amount. Not sure between base S20+ or 512gb S20+. Probably base. I’m honestly not married to the idea of keeping any of these Samsungs past 1 year while they sport the godawful in display fingerprint scanner. I don’t even try to use it on my Note10+. I turned the little bastard off. I know it works fine for most people. But my fingerprints have always been tricky.
My Pixel 2, Pixel 3XL and my 7plus and iPhone 8 Pluses had the only fingerprint scanners that worked great for me. I guess the S9+ was pretty good, too.
So anyway it’s not likely I’ll pay extra for the larger on board storage when it will not count for anything in trade in. And I will be trading whatever S20 I get for whatever phone catches my eye next. Maybe the next Note. Maybe the Pixel 5. I donut know.
They should have them in the carrier stores and BB tomorrow.
I am still torn between the Z Flip or S20 Ultra..... or not either. I am pretty happy with my current setup of 11 Pro max and Pixel 4XL
I am looking forward to the Pixel 5XL later this year more than anything else to be honest.

Well S20 photos are looking more and more like crap when put up against Pixel 4 and iPhone. Being butthurt over this FACT won’t change the outcome.
To be honest, I’m not getting rid of my note until I’ve tried out the s20 ultra because unless there’s a big enough difference, I’ll hold out for September releases

You're judging a phone that hasnt even had its final software reviewed by anyone yet.
I dont understand why some people are determine to either say the phone is trash or that its the best thing ever before its even out.
I'll be pre ordering tomorrow for the S20 Ultra 512gb 16gb. Going to trade in the S10+ for $600 off.
The only FACT as you like to put it, is that you only pop up in threads to criticise everything. And even if the S20 pics are eventually shown to be lesser quality than a Pixel or iPhone, they're not even remotely "crap".

Exactly. You won't find any flagship phone with crapy pictures now days. Even the mid range phones will surprise you let alone s20 ultra.
Actually, from what I’ve seen everywhere the S20 Ultra pictures are really good! Obviously it’s going to be on a different level to the S20 and S20 Plus which is what is being used in those comparisons.
S20 ultra is the one to get if they want the best camera due to the much bigger sensor and more resolution.
I’ve seen some in different videos. I saw one where the highlights on the face looked good and on the iPhone 11 Pro they looked a bit blown out. I think the potential for it being more tolerable now is there. Pixels do nice selfies. Maybe a bit too detailed for an old bat like me, though. Lol.Don’t see as much of the face smoothing out
What I need is for the back cameras to not smear details. I’ve been trying to get good photos of pets and my Note 10+ was doing that. And even the tiniest bit of movement caused some fuzz. I have absolutely no problems at all on details on inanimate objects. It is some weird software thing with fur and hair. edit to clarify I mean smoothing not smearing.
However I would not be shocked if the same issue exists on the S20’s. If it’s part of their cultural beauty thing it just may be “a thing” and that’s that.
I saw some 40mp selfies yesterday from the moment crew on YouTube and they were very detailed with no smoothing on the face!

A lot of reviewers make it difficult to judge Samsung selfie cameras because most leave them on "stock settings for fairness". Beauty mode will be on by default, which makes the comparison void to begin with.
Each to their own but I despise seeing selfies with it all the way up. Some are so bad, you can't even tell they have a nose. lol

I will most definitely post photo comparisons of S20 ultra, S10+, and Pro Max. I wish I had a Note 10 to compare with as well.
I preordered the S20 Ultra last week and was told I will be receiving it between the 10th and 13th March!
Shame you have to wait until a month after it was announced before you get it this year!
