I gave up on screen protector's with my S10 plus. With the edges so curved the glass would start cracking on the edges. With the S21 I hope I don't have the same issues. If I do, I will use it without a screen protector. Luckily Samsung doesn't care if your phone has micro scratches when trading in.

Battery champ and it's only the Exynos and not Qualcomm.

Looks promising, but then again it also shows the Note 20 Ultra as having good battery life, but that’s not true in my experience. I was having bad battery life with my Exynos version of the Note 20 Ultra, last year.

Found this comprehensive camera comparison for the S21U and the 12Pro Max. I believe its an Exynos since all articles I've seen say that Korea is back to being an Exynos region. It's detailed with time stamps and I thought that the drone tests were pretty cool.

Last year the Note didn't have android 11.
I've only just received it, battery improvements are part of the update, apparently.
And last years battery tests on the exynos weren't very flattering.
But totally get where you're coming from.

These battery tests are all well and good but not real usage. These mainly show how many hours you can use it for before it dies but not when you use it normally and just have it in standby. My fold is worse than my iPhone in this area but I don’t think anybody who uses their phone normally needs to worry

My thoughts too. All these speed and battery tests and benchmarks are really misleading. Real life usage and user experience is what counts the most.

YMMV due to differences in display brightness, usage, reception, etc. The battery comparison just demonstrates battery performance relative to other devices when conditions and use cases are equal. If you only play games outdoors in freezing temperature with max brightness and in dead reception area then expect worst case battery performance.

Just played with demo S21 Ultra at Best Buy. Phantom black in real life isn't different from pictures so glad I went with something else. Spy zoom up to 30x is impressive but I would remove the 100x button if I could. Was planning to set display to 60Hz for battery saving once I get it but after seeing the 120Hz difference might just keep it on. Way too many options and settings to explore that would probably require a good part of the day.

I ordered a black ultra 512, getting the buds pro and Sony WH1000MX4 (what a mouthful) thrown in with it.

I can get a quite good price on my Note 20U via tradein, I'll sell the buds and maybe the WH1000LMNOP's.

Happy days.

Imagine all the talk of the Note being canceled is BS lol, it'll be an expensive year for me haha.

Phantom black seem to be winning on the fingerprint rejection.

Do you have the Exynos Note 20 Ultra? If so could you let me know if the battery life is any better on Andriod 11?

If it’s the case that Samsung have managed to improve the battery life with software updates (since I had my Note 20 Ultra), I would be very tempted to get another Note 20U, now that there won’t be a Note 21 and the lineup being discontinued :(

Don’t do it lol the difference won’t be enough

I suggest just give s21 ultra a go. You could argue it’s the best phone available. Certainly android phone wise.

I’ve had the s21 ultra in my Samsung Uk basket past few hours but know I should be doing it so not pulled the trigger

I ended up preordering the silver Ultra. I’ve always been a fan of lighter color phones but I was definitely disappointed because they only offered the silver in 128GB, and the higher storage options are only in Black and the exclusive colors. I hope the storage size will be enough since this will be used as a secondary phone.

I wish they would continue to do the Note series, I would wait and get a Note 21 Ultra. Just put the new Exynos chip inside a Note 21 Ultra along with the same type of camera as the S21 Ultra, the faster fingerprint reader and more s-pen features.

Yes they have brought s pen support to the S21 Ultra, however you have to buy it separately, even the case with the s pen that can be brought from Samsung looks bulky. Then there is the charger, since I'm not a Samsung user I don't already have a charger, so that's an extra accessory to buy.

From what I can see the S pen features missing is more gestures like taking photos With s pen most features are still there. Well what i would use it for

granted £76 For silcone case with s pen isn’t cheap

Also the case adds quite a bit of bulk.
