I wouldn’t say it’s boring all phones pretty much do similar stuff. My android Home Screen is similar to my iphone Home Screen. A few apps but filled with widgets for most part.
theres certainly features which the iphone needs like 120hz for one to match android as its a joy for me on my iPad and android phone. I wouldn’t say iphone needs a lot of stuff just a few features here and there.
widgets I’m sure I’ll be updated on iOS 15 to allow to interact with widgets but not sure why that wasn’t a thing in iOS 14. I imagine though will still need developers to update it again so it’s a never ending cycle
I try and stay away from that awful app library as much as possible and just swipe down search for the app I need. That really was not thought out at all
I like how one ui 3.0 seems to have refined the s21 ultra so much better than past samsung phones
I'd disagree. I'd say there are definitely more than a few features they need to add. When I had to use my iPhone for work, it made me realize how much the small things mattered, and how they add up to provide a great experience. Apple is so far behind on those things, that it makes using it a chore for me. For example, the smart dialer has been in Android since the very beginning. But here we are in 2021 and iPhone still has the most basic dialer that is a pain in the butt to call contacts compared to on Android. Another thing is the share functionality on Android as opposed to iPhone. It's waaaaay easier to share something from one app to another on Android. On iPhone it can be a pain, and sometimes you can't. I didn't realize how lousy the email capability was until I had to use it for work. I could reply to emails and add the different files I needed to. I had to break out my laptop to get it done. Smart lock functionality is another one. I never realized how much I'd gotten used to not having to unlock my phone in certain places, until I kept having to unlock my iphone over and over again. So even now with iPhone's "new" unlocking feature, it's still incomplete and an overall poor implementation of something that's been around 7 years.
There's more things to list, but I'll stop there. All in all, Apple has a lot of catching up to do, both on the hardware side, and the software side.
