I really would like to replace my girlfriends Note9 with the S21 Ultra... I know she'd love the upgrade and she hangs onto her phones for 4-5 years so the money would be well spent.. Plus if I get her the Ultra maybe she'll return the favor and replace my X with an 13 Pro Max!:)

didn't google cancel google cloud print?

edit yes

Ya know you think they would try to match apple with Airprint or whatever apple calls it but it works flawlessly... I can print to any wifi printer off my iphone, why in the world would google cancel that?

This is the thing that bugs me about Android, as much as I have a itch to to back to android I know it's half baked in many areas only because google gives up so damn quickly at something.

Watch Apple come out with some form of call screening this year.

That’s the beauty of choice. Android or Apple.

I am merely sharing “interesting bits” for those who would find value in them.

It’s not being forced on anyone.

OT. When I'm eating lunch at work, I like to watch YouTube video's. My IPhone 12 pro max buffers alot before playing a video in this particular spot.
Didn't have this problem with previous IPhone's. I decided to test out my S10 plus, and it doesn't buffer. It loads up the video's much faster. I have been using Samsung for the past week now, and will continue to use it, especially when I'm working.
The 12 pro max is not any faster than the 11 pro max, or S10 plus.

Samsung is always top notch for radio reception.

My work IPhone is always much slower on wifi, and cellular speeds.
This is one of the reasons I'm getting the Samsung/Android itch again. We have a dodgy router but my girlfriend's cheap-ass Huaweis have always dealt with it better than my iPhones (7 Plus & 12 Pro Max, both had the same issues). Same goes for phone reception. We have the same provider but I have to stand at a window or I'll lose connection whereas she can be anywhere in the apartment with no issues.

Oh and don't get me started on the personal hotspot. My iPhone refuses to pair half of the time, whereas already my Note II ages ago was flawless in this respect, and I'm talking about pairing with my Mac.

You are a smart fellow. Why keep going back to iPhone?

I'm happy with them in most regards, with iCloud desktop and Notes being available across all my devices being one of the primary ones.
Well I guess you have to decide which is more crucial to you. Phone reception and connection or Notes and iCloud desktop on all devices.

I know some will disagree but using the 12 Pro max and S21 ultra side by side the iPhone certainly is a big difference for me with 120hz compared to 60hz..just so much better to scroll and use the phone on the ultra

Luckily this years pro's will fix that this year

As a Standalone device, the S21 Ultra clearly defeats anything that Apple has out there. No question about it.

If you prefer (notice I didn't say "locked") the Apple Ecosystem, the S21 Ultra is a great device but doesn't compare to the iPhone 12 Pro.

I really believe it's that simple. I had the S21 Ultra, miss it daily, but couldn't get the past the fact that I prefer how Apple keeps my life, entertainment, and family organized.

I wouldn't go as far as to say the S21U "clearly defeats" the iPhone. It certainly has a bunch of features that I wish my 12 Pro Max had, but the iPhone still has a few points besides the ecosystem where it tops any Android phone in my book.

One little thing for example that never ceases to add a silver lining to my everyday life is the reader mode on Safari. I worked endlessly with my OP6T to set up an equally good reader mode which would work just as well also in dark mode but I was never able to, and that's one feature I really live and die by given how much I use it.

But yeah at the moment I'm starting to get the Samsung/Android itch again. I've tried having two phones side by side but that never really worked out well. What I'm hoping for is a new take on the iPad Mini with slimmer bezels. That's something I could bring along basically everywhere and use for all the things the iPhone does better, including access to iCloud, that reader mode, etc. While using the Samsung as my daily driver phone. Maybe next year, if the iPad Mini gods smile.
