Although specs say otherwise but maybe it's the weight distribution

Wow side by side like that the Pixel looks “artsy” and the S22 Ultra looks very basic, style-wise.

I like the burgundy color a lot but I’m glad I didn’t choose it, after all. I would be reminded of my mom’s bathroom curtains every time I look at it. 😆

The color apparently was popular for home decor many years ago and my mom, who was always changing the color palette of her home every few years, decided this would be the accessories color to last her the rest of her life and has kept it for more years than I can remember.


No, instead I decided to choose the color of the wallpaper in my mom’s kitchen. 🤪 Yes, there’s a house with a dark green kitchen and a bathroom with burgundy curtains somewhere in this crazy world of ours.

What can I say? My parents’ tastes were honed primarily in the 70’s, an era when carpets were burnt orange, appliances were avocado green and harvest gold, and clothes were red, white and blue to celebrate the Bicentennial! 🤣

The whole 4 years of OS updates is giving apple another one less advantage over Samsung.

Meh. Four years of glitches, system slowdowns and battery drainage. No thanks. I'll stick with the o/s my phone arrives with just like I have done ever since the iPhone 4 debacle.

Imo SD card slot (lack of) is a foregone conclusion. Neither the S21 series nor the Z Folds have it. With options for 512GB storage or higher probably available, and the fact that the S/Z series USB-C ports are USB3 (so using external USB3 drives are fast and easy), SD cards are less and less relevant.

It's hassle though. I can take an SD card out of my Note 10 Plus and put it into my Note 20 Ultra and hey sesame, everything is there ready to go. No hooking-up to the pc and messing about with tedious transfers.

70's colour were ugly.

That suit on the far right is very much like one my father-in-law had in the 70’s. My dad was far less trendy so his suits were less strange looking. But he did have a pale baby blue suit and a brown suit that were very much in keeping with the times.

My mom wore Bicentennial everything and dressed me in that stuff, too. My mom’s fashion sense in the 70’s:

Preliminary results, based on other SD8g1 phones (Xiaomi 12 Pro) and leaked benchmarks of Exynos 2200:
SD8g1 has better performance, especially in GPU, but throttles and overheats much easier.

So we will see how good Samsung's cooling system is.

I think that color on the Ultra is throwing it off. I can't wait to see the white in person. I think that's going to look very snazzy but Yes, my pixel does look very artsy haha..though you never see it without a case since it's a bar of soap ..

Yes therefore I've never bought the Note. At least it would've looked nice if they made the chin exactly as big as the upper bezel. Now it's just not that great.

Went to the Samsung Experience store today and saw all the models. They feel so light but that's maybe because I've been using the Fold 3 for a few months now haha. The back feels a bit "cheap". I know it's glass but it feels plastic. My old Note 20 Ultra felt more premium with its glass back.
