For me, I like having the best of both worlds. In my opinion, that's the iPhone 13PM and Galaxy S22 Ultra. I purchased both of them full price, but it was worth it. It's nice to experience both platforms. I can't give you any specific examples, because I just enjoyed both platforms and what they offer.

It's been a week or so with my S22U and the battery life seems to be settling in so far.

For those that have the S22U and an iPhone 13, when do you decide to go back/forth? Boredom, certain tasks? Not being judgmental, I’d like to have some examples to mull over, as I am truly interested in the S22U and have a 13PM, but not sure how I’d use 2 different phones.

Thanks in advance…
I usually use one for a couple days or a week, and then switch to the other one for the same amount of time. Other times I use both in a day; usually when the other one is on the charger or in the other room or something.

I also like to travel with both so I have a backup and one to use while the other is charging.

Yep, me too. I’ll be putting iOS 16 beta on my 13PM and will be mainly using my S22U when I’m out and about since I know the iOS 16 beta will be buggy for a couple of months.

Go for it. I have it on all my devices and been using them for hours today. I don’t know what magic juice they put in this iOS 16 beta 1 but it is solid! I’m really surprised this thing is going to go though 7 or 8 betas until final release.

Just got an S22U and have also had an iPhone 13 mini since shortly after release. Prior to the S22U I was using a Pixel 6 Pro.

I've gotten used to carrying two phones since one employer I was with for eleven years required me to carry a work issued phone. I've been carrying an iPhone and an Android phone for at least the past five years.

I use Microsoft's Phone Link app on my Windows PC because I really like being able to receive and send SMS texts on my Windows PC. I know Apple has the same capability through iMessage, but I do not use a Mac. I use a Windows PC for work because that is what my present employer issues. I seriously doubt I will ever work for an employer that issues me a Mac.

My family are all iPhone users so I use the iPhone for that. I manage the family Apple services through it.

I'm seriously considering getting an iPhone 13. I've found that while it is nice to carry the mini, especially when carrying a Pixel 6 Pro or an S22U, it is just too small for me to be able to use comfortably.

I have long, slender fingers so using a Pixel 6 Pro or an S22U is easy for me. I almost bought an S22+ because I really do not like curved screens. But in the end the larger size won out over the flat screen. I realize this may not be the case for other people.

Months later how is everyone enjoying their s22's. Even the heavyness of the Ultra is cute 😉

I am holding off any updates cause i really like the phone as it is. Sometimes updates stuff up the camera and screen quality so no i won't update for a while.

I remember very well with my Note+ after a major update 3/4 of the screen turned pink.

Samsung is offering a $1000 off on the S22 Ultra with the trade in of a S21 or Ultra.
Yup. Samsung has been aggressive with these trade ins... offered $1000 off on a Fold 3 with a trade in of a Fold 2. But in about 2 months the Fold 4 will be released... I'm hoping that the Fold 2 trade in would be around $700 during that period.

Does the S22 Ultra have that weird and infrequent bug that my Note 10 Plus had, whereby when scrolling down a webpage or through my photo gallery all of a sudden I would be shunted further up the page? It happened when scrolling a fair bit, not just brief scrolls...

Yes, if you don't disable back to top button, the scroll bar can do this too.
This seems to only happen to me in samsung browser though, if those two "features" are present.

I had all that disabled and the bug happened in every app, especially the native photo gallery.

Hi guys! Just dropping in to wish all the dads here a Happy Father’s Day. I hope you all have a great day.

I haven’t been posting much because I got a mild case of Covid that took a week to go away followed by a different strain that was super nasty. I had only one week of good health in between! o_O This is probably my third go around with Covid. I’m certain I had it when the pandemic started. There were no tests available then but it was a very unique combination of symptoms that has now unfortunately become familiar.

I’m not comfortable looking at screens and that’s why I’ve posted very little and read only a few minutes a day. Despite constant exhaustion, I’ve been sleeping poorly due to overall misery. This time my luck ran out and I lost my sense of smell and taste. I was so shocked when I took a bite of a chocolate bar and realized I could not taste it. I hope this is just temporary. Chocolate is my life. I can still taste coffee. Faintly. On the plus side, I can’t smell the litter boxes that I’m scooping! 😆

I did recently play with my S22 Ultra one evening of a huge full moon. I was so excited that I finally got some awesome moon photos! I’ve always been so envious of everyone else’s. My pet and family photos have also been turning out very well. I’m glad to see most everyone else seems as pleased with their S22’s as I am with mine.

Unfortunately, I don’t get very good battery life, but I think that is because I’ve been letting all my phones drain completely and just sit. While sick, I’ve been using my iPad mini mostly, and very sparingly. Also, I’ve got signal strength troubles here where I live. All my phones drain fast.

Overall this phone checks all the boxes. I DO use the S Pen. I’m always jotting down notes on it. The fingerprint sensor works well. Unlike past Samsungs, there’s been no pain point that is pushing me to want to unload it for something hopefully better. THIS is the Samsung I’ve been looking for. Even the poor battery life isn’t a hardship that’s going to compel an upgrade.

So, finally I am fully content. With gas prices and food and everything else going up, I’m keeping this phone and getting off the upgrade train. That’s what I should have done when I had the S9+ I was so happy with. I’m not going to make that mistake again. This one is a keeper!

I like my pixel 6 Pro, too. Unfortunately the S22 Ultra makes it a bit redundant, so there’s no point in continuing that upgrade path. It’s absolutely a good phone and when I want the Pixel experience it’s here for me. If Google ever makes a good truly small Pixel Pro I might be tempted. It’s tough because the pixel 6 Pro and the S22 Ultra are pretty much the same size and fill the same niche for me. If the S 22 Ultra camera were significantly lacking then I’d have a more compelling use for the Pixel. But they’re ridiculously comparable now. And the super zoom and the S Pen are just too compelling for me.
