Landed with me this afternoon; moved across smoothly from my IP 14 Pro Max

Got the UAG case as pictured & an Otterbox commuter case too

Whitestone Dome screen protector fitted with zero issues; superb piece of kit really. Just need to take your time and follow the YT videos step by step ;)

Some pictures:

Obviously I had to go for the usual Calvin & Hobbes home & lock screen picture 👌🏼

Thanks for link, but I'm going to pass on it.

I was curious about it and wanted to see how it looked in the Play Store... I have enough Icon Packs already lol. And now that HeX Installer has been patched to work around the Theme Park because I think Samsung is potentially targeting HeX, adding new Icon Packs is a task.

Haha I hear ya ...I've not tried Hex for a bit ...but lately I've just set the phone and forget it

TBH it's nice to be back on Android

I love Apple and really wanted to love the iPhone. But I also like to faff and change things to my liking and you can't do that with iOS...

Apple does 'just work' but sometimes customisation is more fun...

The screen on the S23U is superb as well. Feels much more crisp than the iPhone and overall sharper

Be interested to see how the camera is and how the picturess turn out etc

Good for you! Given that it's been awhile you shouldn't go down that rabbit hole lol. For myself, without it... OneUI looks unexciting.

Love Android especially for the little extras you can't do on iOS ...I'm still rocking with Iphone 12 Pro so can't compare to my S23U ..maybe next time I will go for the larger Iphone...

Hopefully the camera is to your satisfaction

I've had the Watch 5 Pro for a day now and I'd say it's right on par with the Apple Watch. Like I had mentioned earlier, I'm not one to use a lot of apps on a smart watch. I use it more as a watch and to quickly glance at the weather and see how many steps I have. If I need anything more intense, I have a phone for that. So no complaints here at all.

What color did you get?

Congratulations! I do love that shade of green after all. And I’m a Calvin and Hobbes fanatic! So is my husband.

Regarding my stolen s23 Ultra return: Ok so the credit card insurance will come through for us on $1000 on my 1 TB S23 Ultra that got stolen. According to my invoice I got credited for all the cases I returned. The phone itself was listed at $1119.99. I can’t even remember what deals and discounts were available that day I ordered. My husband and I are just incredibly fatigued and sleepy all the time and dealing with major brain fog. We slept almost until 10 am today. That’s late for us, even on a weekend.

So we get $1k recovered so we are happy with that but he said he is still going to follow up with Samsung on the fact the phone was stolen so it gets reported as such through the proper channels.

He’s happy to keep me informed of any further developments, but honestly at this point I’ve mentally written it all off myself and am moving on and will probably forget to ask.

Recommendations for 23 ultra screen saver? I have one with the finger cutout, looks awful. Ironically, cant get a good fingerprint with it.

Oh yeah the finger cutouts are awful. I tried one on my Pixel 6 Pro that had come with the case. It feels weird, too.

I am using the film one sold by Samsung, though I got mine through Amazon. They still have a few in stock. I used LK brand on my husband's and on my S22 Ultra. Both brands work very well and are self healing from indentations and scratches. Film is not easy to install without getting bubbles, because it's so thin and flexible, so don't wing it. Watch the installation video to do it properly.

There may be a few tiny bubbles even if you're careful, but they disappear within 1-3 days or so. If there's more than five and they persist, some might be due to dust and an overall clumsy installation so it's best to start over fresh.

I don't recommend SuperShieldz brand. They are not optically clear and will make the OLED display look slightly sparkly.

Good luck with whatever you decide to go with.

I tried using Whitestone dome and it was a nightmare. Decided to try a film.

This film is the only one I have ever installed that I didn't get any bubbles. It is also self healing and as optically clear as a film gets. Doesn't have a weird feeling and so far has been trouble free.

Good luck 😃

Whitestone Dome. Works superbly and it's easy to apply. Just follow the guides on YouTube and take your time...

Have used their screen protectors on most of my past android handsets now and they're brilliant. Better than any film style protector IMO

I use this one from Amazon without any complaint:

Milomdoi

2 + 3 pieces 9H screen protector for Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra armoured protection glass film accessories 2 pieces tempered glass screen protector 3 pieces camera protection)

Really good fingerprints, case friendly and without nasty UV glue installation.

Oh wow that’s great you found a glass one that works well. If I need to replace my film I’ll give that one a try. I just want no part of UV glue. I’m a disaster around glue.

If I can fit the WD tempered glass; anyone can!

I tend to fix things with a 12lb sledgehammer 😂

I'm ham fisted at the best of times and have slab like hands; so generally shy away from things like this. But found it to be an easy process on my office desk, at home, watching the How To on YT on my Mac ;)
