For anyone having battery issues after the last update. I found this

Thanks for sharing that. I never would have thought the keyboard would be the source of battery drain. I use G Board on my S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra so that may explain why I don't seem to be seeing any problems.

On iphone it seems like most apps drain my phone even if they're not being actively used but are still swipable. I have to fully turn them off to avoid drain. I don't seem to have that issue with my apps on the Samsungs.

Back using the 14PM for the weekend just to change it up a bit. While some things are a joy (I really love iMessage and Carplay) I think it will be short lived.

1. Why on earth can't the messages app do a good job of filtering out ridiculous spam messages like Google Messages does? I know I can make it filter out messages from unknown senders but I really don't want to do that. I get important calls and messages all the time from numbers I dont know.

2. Voice to text-terrible

3. Typing on screen-even worse
(Doesn't matter what keyboard I use)

4. Notifications. Prettier implementation goes to Apple but to me it's an unorganized mess and not nearly as useful.

5. Battery. Not so much the battery life as the charging. Battery life may be a little less than my S23U in fact but what really sucks is the super slow charging speeds.

6. Camera- I consistently get more stunning pictures out of my S23U and I love the plethora of options in the camera app. I will say the one thing that bugs me is I have to manually select night mode on the S23U while iphone and pixel automatically go into their respective low light modes. I love the amount of light the S23U brings into night mode as well but prefer the pics from my P7P and iP14M

7. Spam calls. Everytime I use the iPhone this is the thing that probably irks me most. Obviously the Pixel is head of the class here especially with the Call Screen feature but when I use the iPhone I seem to get bombarded with spam calls.

Overall a great device that I really like but the S23U is just an all around fantastic device. If you haven't used one or even a Pixel 7P then you'd never know or care about the iphones flaws and it would be a fantastic phone. Mainly it's just not as "smart" of a device overall. Great for media, communication, and most daily tasks for sure though.

interested in this one, what do you like better on android?

On apple for me, the notifications come up on the AOD, lock screen and they show a preview of the notification etc. on android all I see are little icons at the top left until I swipe to see the list.

I get that I'm in the minority because everyone tells me notifications are better on the android but I feel I'm missing something

I finally ported my S23U to T-Mobile after testing the network for a few months ... consistently better around my home area than Verizon...I feel like Vzw is slipping a bit ...from my experiences last few years ...

Yes but I find on my IP14P for example - The 2 factor notification is there on the AOD but soon as unlocked it disappeared and is not seen on the swipe up to see older notifications so I have to resend the code which is as laggy as hell then I get 2 of them

My Fold4 just works every time and are organized

It is as if the Notifications on iOS want to take you to the app to get things done while on Android you can get things done using Notifications.

Yep, even my notifications bounced to my Razer or MBPM2 using using Win11 Phone link by MS work better and are organized , more often than not I don't need to look at my Fold 4 to get the OTP code etc other than MS Authenticator obviously

The other thing I like is running Android apps in Win11 as if they were native apps (ie just click on the icon) with no need to open via the MSPhone app in a window.

fascinating. I use MFA daily and I just tap on the notification on wherever it appears and it takes me straight into the app to approve. i've never "lost" it but I can actually see how it could happen

on android if I'm on the AOD, phone just sitting there, wouldn't the only notification be a little app icon added to the screen and then i'd have to unlock the phone, go to notifications, find it (not usually even sorted by date/time?) and then click it? (I dont know because all my mfa is still on the iphone)

Compared to the S23 and S23 Plus, the S23 Ultra delivers more. Better cameras, a clearer screen, and a bigger battery are all features of the S23 Ultra. The S23 and the S23 Plus don't differ all that much from one another. With the S23 Plus, you get a bigger screen and more battery life. so i will go with s23 plus.

The MFA is not related to an app, so it does not take me anywhere, its an approval code it has to generate to then type into my MBP, but seems to go wrong from the AOD

Ugh dropped my phone last night and got a nice little ding in the lower right corner. Doesn't effect the experience other than the fact that it digs into my hand when holding it.

Anyone have experience with Samsung Premium Care and if they'd send a replacement in this case?

Oh yea true and you so have the coverage ..how much is the deductible I've never claimed on Samsung Care
I think it's $99 to $199. I'm going to call and find a claim tomorrow. Maybe a little OCD but I just don't want a phone with a big chip out of a corner

This is the biggest thing with the notifications for me. So much more convenient with Android. Just slide the tray down, do what you need, and slide the tray back up. So much more quick, easy, and convenient.
