Land of Smiles
A getting dark, moody street photo for example can become like day time (even without night mode) and lose all the atmosphere.

IMHO this is a result of samsungs algorithms leaning towards a longer exposure time rather than wider aperture/higher ISO. As always, the combination of these things decides the look and there's not necessarily a right answer as to which is more pleasing BUT there kinda is a right answer as to which looks most like the original in person scene and I do feel samsung needs to tune its algorithm on that score...
I think this is the 3rd time you posted this observation and I have even shown you how Apple 14P seem to get the colour wrong and change exactly what your noting the atmosphere to almost a blue tungsten from an actual warm candle like lighting

I will have to dig out some more photos that clearly show this when I stayed in a Hotel room that had 3 different bulbs in the room and the Iphone erred to more blue cold shifts and away from warmer actual tones that Samsung did a better job of replicating

but I wasn't disagreeing with you? In fact I agree that the Apple 14pm gets colour balance far too much towards the cool range for my personal taste.

I'm saying that the samung algorithm for most given scenes keeps the shutter open longer than the iphone chooses to do which has various effects including more motion blur and overly bright reproduction.

I think you're getting confused between my evaluation of shutter speed v colour balance.

I saw the one you did with a sideboard and whisky glasses I think ? and I agree with you! It's just a different photographic effect from that to which I was referring!

Sorry folks.. The honeymoon with the S23U is over & it's gone

Back to a silver 14 Pro Max ;)

Stayed with the UAG cases though; they're not cheap but they're superbly built and comfy in the hand too. As protective as Otterbox INO, but not as bulky
Alright back at it ...you have a nice phone there as well

Everyone else, stay strong!

tryinggggggggg!

Actually I did cheat a few days back, put the sim in the iphone just because I didnt want to "mess around" but took the s23u in my pocket for photos.

Someone sent me a load of docs that needed signing and after a few wasted minutes on the iphone, I got them on the s23u and it was easy to sign/send done with the s23u.

I noticed it also had the better cell signal too.

So the sim is back in the s23u.... at the moment

The S23 had better signal?

Also, curious, what were your impressions when your SIM was back in your iPhone? Other than the signing docs, did you immediately miss the Ultra?

Opposite for me, the iPhone gets much better signal than the S23U for me here at home and when out & about with 4/5G etc

But everywhere is different
