would you say that they are as good as the Airpod Pro?
I honestly can't tell the difference. I guess I would probably prefer the Airpod Pro touch controls since it's on the stem, and I have had more accidental touches on the Bud Pros, but I'm happy with both and they really seem interchangable.

Thank you, i’m looking forward to trying them. The Buds Pro 2 will arrive later as they are delayed 3-4 weeks, im guessing that’s because they are selling really well with being given as free order gifts with a Galaxy S23 phone.

Hi. Has anyone had a problem with face unlock on the s23 ultra not working. Consistently get a message saying 'face doesnt match' ?? A quick google and its a well known issue, but there doesnt seem to be a proper fix for it although a few videos on YouTube claiming to fix it but dont.

I've not had issues since first day set up ..didn't realize there was an issue circulating

Im sooo pissed that I missed that sale… just yesterday apple once again really delivered that special experience:) was trying to set up new apple watch (s6 series - brand new sealed - obviously with old os). Man it took over 2 hours to download update… i had to go, so had to cancel that (cant leave without phone - but to continue phone must sta next to watch of course and watch has to be on charger) and had to go through that again in the evening… all together, over 5 hours spent with freaking apple watch syncing and updating and getting ready to use, i already hate them😂

Ah ok, here in the UK there is £200 cash back along with a free pair of the Galaxy Buds Pro 2 (in black) as well as trade in deals.
Here, we had special deal last weekend - price drop for whole s23 line (approx -20%) and of course additional deals: trade in bonus (-10%), -10% code and if you bought whatever else (like cheapest buds) additional -15%…

Unbeatable sale, and me being idiot, missed that:)

That’s a good deal, you can always get it if that deal comes around again. The good thing about Samsung is they always have deals on at some point.

Yes this is the one which I got. 512Gb version was 'cheap' if you had access to the Student/Totum Samsung site.

BTW surprised no one has commented on Face Unlock on this phone. I've now figured out a generic pattern on when it doesnt work - if you wear glasses, it doesnt seem to like it regardless of what face pattern you have stored in Biometrics. I'm trying to work out a permutation of circumstances where this will work for speccy eyed people :)

I’ve never mentioned it because i use fingerprint, Face ID on the iPhone can’t be beat so i use that on my iPhone and fingerprint on the Samsung devices.

Yes that’s true

I’m slowly coming to the realisation and also getting used to using thumb ID as Face ID just can’t be bettered from the iPhone

I don't know why Google killed off soli. Worked just as well as Face ID. I understand that the sensors take up space just like iPhone but it is a very good system using infrared face scanning.

I still like having a fingerprint sensor but the under display fingerprint sensor is just not as good as the back of the phone or power button ones in terms of speed and accuracy. But overall I still prefer fingerprint sensor personally overall.

I don't think FaceID is superior to a fingerprint scanner in terms of security and I like the tactile feel of it, and there are times when it is better, wearing glasses or mask even with improvements in those areas.

But I can't argue that FaceID is the fastest and easiest authentication method currently available for sure.

I still don't know why Android OEM'S don't implement the same thing? The pin hole camera will never work as well as infrared face scanning, ever.

Just an update only my situation, Samsung canceled my order :mad:, The free Buds Pro 2 were part of the deal and I noticed that they got taken off my order. I phoned Samsung to be told that they had run out of stock at the moment. That's all fine I can understand that, so I asked if I would get them at a later date, the person I spoke with told me no since they have to put them through at the time of ordering since they are part of the deal. After some talking they said simply they couldn't do anything and would just cancel my order if I weren't happy.

I think that is poor customer service, my order has been cancelled and they are losing a sale. Samsung need to up their game when it comes to customer service.

I got an email saying that mine were delayed until end of July, and about 10 minutes later a DPD dispatch email for them

Ok samsung, lets launch some epic sale in czechia, cmon, you can do it!😂

My saga with apple watch continues, after 5 hours of updating, setting it up, somehow apple watch does not see my contacts so calls/messages from iphone shows only cell numbers, not names (but whats app messages show names of co tacts😂) and somehow it believes i do not have installed weather app on my iphone (and when referring to my iphone it referrs it to “(null)” 😂😂😂

I feel for you. A couple of years ago they failed to pack in a free air tag type of thing that was part of my preorder goodies. But their records indicated it had been shipped so I was out of luck.

Wait...I just reread...did they unilaterally cancel an order without your consent?

Going several rounds with Samsung customer service stressed my husband and I out so much we just decided to eat $500 Samsung wrongfully charged us because to them they didn't acknowledge a theft we reported to them and carried on with a transaction like it was normal. They are shambolic.

My husband is in the middle of a high stakes stressful business transaction, so he's just not going to pay this mess any more mind and I'm dealing with managing the care of two adults with the disposition of toddlers. Shrug
Whatever. I give up. Spending hours navigating customer service hell is not happening right now.

My husband isn't planning on upgrading his Fold. But I think going through Best Buy should still be on the table. The products are good. The direct sales and service is what sucks.

I do think their customer service needs to be improved, I wasn't asking for the world! I don't think I was being unreasonable, I understood that stock levels will dip and then rise. All I was asking was for them to send the free Buds Pro 2 out when they had them back in stock, they were un-willing to do that.

They've actually really tightened up in this area and not in a good way. I remember like 5 years ago, I missed out on a promo and they didn't hesitate to still offer it to me. Then last year I was looking into potentially ordering the Fold 4 and missed a promotion and they wouldn't budge.

Most promotions are subject to availability (ie Whilst stocks last)

UK has some of the best consumer laws and if Samsung are not honoring their offer to the terms then a quick call soon sorts that out,

I suspect they have not broken any advertisement laws and you were just too slow, unfortunately.
