In some early hand on videos, already mentions of shutter lag, even in well lit filming environments. Not good.
Hopefully by release they’ve ironed that out a bit but I wouldn’t hold my breathe. Seems like some on thing Samsung is fine with as it’s been a problem for a while now.
Otherwise, these phones look good. Boring, but good. The boringness is just a testament to how much this design has already been perfected at this point.

Wow WTF is up with the trade in values. I was all set on ordering and now I'm not sure.
They're really pushing the carriers to make the upgrade enticing. 500 for S22U is a joke.
Well I can’t order at all. Their site is down or something. I’m trying two different phones. Trade in values are really bad but I didn’t pay all that much for my S22 Ultra so…

The trade in values are what made it so hard to resist taking the plunge for incremental upgrades every year. They are pushing you to do it thru the carriers for monthly bill credits. I only do unlocked devices so that option is a no go for me. Definitely giving me reason for pause.
If they do that, I bet it will be a cluster to try to get them to honor a higher trade in price. I'm starting to think if I'm really switching from Apple, I might just skip this and go big with the Z Fold 4.
Id hold off a bit and see what the ZF5 and Pixel Fold offer. My best trade in option for the S23U is the 14 PM or the ZF4. I think it's like 750 for the ZF4 which I was hoping to trade in for the ZF5. Looking like I may be passing on this one.
My husband is skipping. I’ve got the sky blue set up but still not sure that’s the color. 🤣. Also is their Samsung care+ worth it I wonder.
Yeah it's $750 for the 14 Pro Max. I just placed an order but not sure I'll be going through with it.
Seems like it might be a bug as I'm getting the same trade-in values as those in the US. I'm in Canada. We usually get less trade-in values.
Yea the 750 for the 14PM is a terrible deal. Swappa starts over $1k even for a base storage model. I have a 1TB model. Might flip it on Swappa at the prices they are going at and pocket some extra money if I decide to follow through.

Ya if you want to do eip through a carrier. I don't like carrier locked versions. If you do and you don't mind being tied to your carrier and getting the trade in credits spread out over two years then it's not a bad deal. I don't keep phones that long so I usually appreciate the instant credits Samsung offers.
