Speaking of the camera, does anyone else find that the colour red is a problem? Burgundy and maroon reds come out looking much lighter. My Note 10 Plus and Z Fold 4 had the same issue with deep reds and I was hoping the S23U would perform differently in this regard. It's obviously a Samsung thing but why?
From what I could tell looking at photos I took of my great niece’s prom dress, the colors are true, meaning the same color between 14 Pro Max and S23 Ultra…but yes, comes our looking lighter, like it was taken under much brighter light than it actually was. Everything looks over bright though, not just red. Like the lighting is more intensified or the exposure is not automatically set correctly. So everything looks a little bit too well lit. I’m sorry I’m struggling trying to find the right words.

I noticed this when I was taking photos of family in an airport. The S23 Ultra photos made the airport look super brightly lit. So I switched to my 14 Pro Max.

You can manually adjust but with family snapshots I just don’t have time for that. I’m too slow and they move too fast!

Yes that's probably true. Photos look brighter. Night shots look artificially so, like someone put the lights on. I have a guitar that's a very deep wine red and it comes out looking like a London Post box when I capture it with a Samsung camera phone. Most irritating.😒

Ooooh yep probably just going to refuse the package then. Darn.

So I have both the 5 pro and the 6 classic here with me.

I charge my watch every morning (wear it overnight for sleep monitoring) so battery life isn't an issue although yep sure, more the better!

For me the rotating bezel is SUCH a win. I realise it's nothing new just a return to what they had, but with my eyesight these days, rotating the bezel is SO much better than trying to do stuff on the touch screen.

I guess they'll do a 6 pro sometime and hopefully that'll have the bezel too

Nice! Well maybe I'll give it a shot.

PS. This camera. 10x Zoom

Yea, the physical rotating bezel is much better than the touch screen one. It’s also a great way to wake up the watch.

It’s so odd if you look at this thread you’d think only the Ultra existed in the range which shows you how unrepresentative the posters on here are of the general public as I’ve never seen anyone with an S23 Ultra, though I’ve seen a reasonable number of the other two S23 models out and about.

You know I've seen a lot of s23u around here... By our local BestBuy there are a good amount of sales for the Ultra and Spen is attractive to those buying ...but I guess savings wise you're correct others will pick up S23

I have the s23 plus. the camera on it sucks. If the pixel battery lasted longer I'd be sticvking to the pixel because of it tbh.

I have no need for the s pen, and wanted a flat screen

I've owned the regular/smallest S series phones before. And I currently own the Pixel 7a. I've spent the last several years going back and forth on what I prioritize in any given model release. Sometimes I prioritize smaller size and/or lower cost.

I just chose to spend on the s22/S23 Ultra for the s Pen and super zoom and battery life.

My S23 Ultra will be my last Samsung for the foreseeable future. My husband is also staying with his current Samsung phones. He's going to move on only in iPhones. I will move on in Pixels (maybe) and iPhones. At this point, I just pick whatever wont flare up my migraines.

I’m guessing it was another false start… not sure what’s going on with Samsung. On one end, I understand the importance of taking their time to release this beta. But on the other end… its a beta, its going to have bugs (especially the 1st one).

Getting it out in public is a good way to test and see what every day users find buggy in the beta (only the enthusiast will try it out)… because Samsung have so many budget to midrange devices that are compatible with OneUI 6.0. And it seems strange they are struggling to release it with their flagship S23 series.

Situation like these makes you applaud Apple because they release a beta to their entire range of devices (compatible ones).. not set aside for latest smartphones. But then again I understand why Samsung has to go this route given carriers tend to dictate OTA firmware releases.
