so I've moved the sim card from iphone to Samsung.... I just connect them with a cable, buy wustapper and it'll pull over all the conversations for 20 quid?

When you say 30days of texts... including imessages?
You need to use smart switch for the messages. I don’t really use iMessage but it looks like it has moved those across but only 30 days worth, I don’t know why so limited.

from videos I’ve seen online, WhatsApp should transfer with smart switch but it didn’t do anything for me. Wutsapper worked great but ridiculously expensive

I am pretty sure that you can adjust the settings for how long the messages are included in smart switch.

hmmm ok well I'm using outlook at the moment perhaps that's the issue but I don't get a preview of the email or anything all that happens at the moment is the outlook icon in the very small top line.
There should be a small down chevron you tap on the right side of the line notification and all the emails expand with a preview :)

I suspect I must be talking about a different place because the very tiny top line that has the time + icons then on the other side wifi/cell etc doesn't seem clickable and when an email comes in at the mo, all that happens is the app icon gets added to that tiny line.

I guess I've got my notification settings wrong :) but I'm trying to get to grips with whether it's set in the app, in the system, in categories or who knows where LOL

Try swiping down from the top and see if your notifications show

yeah they do! and that bit is fine

but on the iphone, I dont need to swipe down, whatever I'm doing when an email comes in it'll drop down a notification at the very top of the screen for a few seconds... I usually think ok I'll click on that to get to the new email or nah I'll leave it :)

Just wondered if there was similar on android

Try settings/notifications/popup style

Try settings/notifications/popup style

yeah it feels like it should be "popup" but that sticks a dirty great big icon on the screen rather than just a simple notification.

perhaps its outlook! I'll try gmail and see if the notifications are the same I think

I assumed you were using Gmail. I don't know how it works on Outlook as I uninstall or disable Outlook and Onedrive when I set up my phone.

My s23 ultra was delivered today and I'm trying to transfer data from my Mac to the s23 and it's super slow. 500mb is taking 10+ mins. I tried transferring the same folder using the same cable to my Note 9 and it took less than 1 minute. Any idea why the s23 is so slow?

could the s23 be doing a lot of day 1 setup stuff in the background?

i’ve ordered the S23 Ultra 512GB in cream as my work phone. it’s been 13 years since i’ve owned an Android device. it didn’t make sense to me to have the same OS for two phone lines. i’m excited and can’t wait to jump back into the customizations.

case has arrived
Does this case have a nice grip to it?

Here's another YouTuber I've subscribed to. Really fair reviewer in my opinion. Used to be an Apple fan but the Fold 4 changed his mind and it's now his primary device....at least until the S23U wins him over haha.

Review S23 Ultra MKBHD
Again a bit off the mark on explanations of shutter lag

He's crudely reporting manual burst mode (tapping) on very large image size settings

As we all know typically Iphone takes 10fps in burst mode on my IP14P that was a 1.7mb image per frame at ISO 400 f2.2 1/60th (all on standard settings)

My Fold 4 took 29fps and 3.39mb image per frame at ISO 250 F1.8 1/100th (all at standard settings)

How do I know ? I simply took a burst shot of each phones stopwatch and counted the frames then saved one of the images and checked its properties, no rocket science here LOL
