New firmware now out for the US Unlocked version! A few weeks behind the carriers. Not bad at all as Samsung is keeping true to their word on updates!

Didn't you hate the FPS location on your original one? Im just loving mine, the FPS location would be better on the front under the screen but other then that this phone is brilliant.
I'm still pondering the dual-SIM S8+ occasionally, but as the dual-SIM option is available only for the plus model and it's 929e on the Samsung site, it feels rather expensive

yeah..i still hate the FPS on the S8+. Will get by with iris scanning for now until the Pixel2 XL Nokia 8 or maybe the Note 8 ( same issue as S8+).
I hate the location of the FPS on my S8 as well. I use anything but that to unlock the phone.
I'd try to hold out for the S9 if possible. Rumors suggest that's when Samsung's GPU will be in it. I just have trusted device attached to the watch and go with that.
Yeah im looking forward to the Pixel XL 2. I will however miss some of Samsung's "bloat" I actually find alot of the extra features really useful and wish they were baked into vanilla android.
Me too. But sometimes it just stops working. No rhyme or reason as to why. Very frustrating, especially when driving!

iPhone and Apple Watch look so dated.
Samsung design is really impressive.
Don't know why people are still using the fingerprint scanner to unlock. Just use smart lock and hard press the on screen home button and presto. You go straight to the home screen!
Think some people still prefer phone locked all the time. The only place I use smart lock is when connected to bt in the car.

Woah, how is the shade of blue so dark? Pics show it more as a brighter, baby blue-ish color. Is it just lighting?
I just bought the S8 because its screen is still bigger than the 7+ and the FPS is easier to reach. Really just didn't want or need the S8+ added length. Just my 2 cents.

I love that Samsung released unlocked models early, but it's a shame they didn't offer up more color options. I would have gotten the Orchid or even the silver one (my S7E was silver).

One question: is it a huge fingerprint magnet like the midnight black? The siliver actually did a good job of hiding fingerprints, I was hoping coral blue was likewise.
