This looks so tempting. I played with it at Best Buy and actually liked it more than the fold.
Same! I like the idea of the fold, the fact it can potentially replace my iPad. but I honestly dislike the size of it. Even closed. I also didn’t like the more prominent crease. I know I’d get used to it… but 🤷‍♂️

Battery life seems to be the biggest issue from what I’ve seen
Battery stats is the one thing I never take from anyone, because it's a major ymmv stat. Always best to give any device your own run. Regardless, a bigger battery would have been nicer. Finding the sweet spot for a bigger battery to increased thickness ratio, might take some more user feedback. In the end, I'm guessing most users that want this phone for its folding and compact design, won't mind having to top up, some time in the day. I'm easily willing to make that trade off. Since these phones are now out pacing the pre-orders of the S21 and Note lines, folding phones have finally gone mainstream. This should accelerate their development, so I'm expecting big gains in next year's devices. Can't wait for the slab to be dead.

Mine just arrived! No fancy images or unboxing videos from me, but my gosh, I'm very excited for this! I'm working on transferring data and signing in / syncing things, but all in all, what a fun phone! The hardware is awesome. It's definitely going to take some time to get used to Android.

nothing from Samsung yet, I went nuts and ordered a 512gb tab s7Plus with a trade in of a 2018 iPad Pro got it for $533

You'll be at least more at ease from a privacy perspective plus other advantages. Don't like the fact that on iPadOS/iOS like my iPad Pro M1 that all browsing on third party browsers get funneled through Apple webkit engine instead of their respective engine like Chrome based browsers through Blink web engine, Firefox through Gecko, etc.

Lol no. Samsung is one of the worst brands for anyone who cares about privacy.

Not the point. I was responding to the notion that Samsung would be a better privacy choice than Apple. That’s not the case, not by a long shot.

Did you even read the article you linked? It only affects Samsung Pay and it's off by default. So, for most people that use Google Pay it's a non-issue and even then you have to opt-in by enabling it. Not even as evil as Apple forcing all third party browsing through Apple webkit engine where they can have visibility and no way of turning it off.

Keep reading the article. There is much more there than Samsung Pay.

A key thing to note is unlike Google which just uses it internally, Samsung is selling your data to other companies and it encompasses an absolutely insane amount of info.

Only thing worse than a OEM hoarding your data, is a user that thinks the OEM of their choice is not harding their data, or infringing on their privacy in any way. I got a bridge that leads to a endless pot of gold to sell that user.

Hoarding data for their own use and selling that data to other companies are two entirely different things. That’s the difference between Apple and Samsung. Apple uses your data for their own purposes, Samsung sells it all.

It’s cute that people still think Apple cares about your privacy That Koolaid must have a lot of sugar in it!

Newsflash: Neither Apple or Samsung or google care about your privacy. They all use your data for their own benefit.

This is correct but Samsung is the only one of the three that sells your data. Apple and Google use it for their own services.

Apple is about to install spyware on our phones. They’re just as guilty. They’re just better at lying about it.

Oh I am not an Apple apologist either. I’m getting a Pixel so I can put GrapheneOS on it because I’m tired of these companies.

Can we not with the arguments about privacy and Samsung Vs apple?
This is the Flip 3 thread so unless it's related specifically to the Flip 3, I'm sure there are other threads you can go at each other in. :)

Bringing it back on topic, the Flip 3 has been great for me throughout the week. Battery issue has been non existent as I've been working, so it's not like when I got it last weekend and I was on it all the time setting up and downloading stuff etc.
Overall, the battery could be better but it's a trade off I don't mind making. The rest of the phone is great and I'm really enjoying using it.
Still need a case, and just noticed Amazon have the mustard leather case for £49.99 which is £20 cheaper than the RRP. Just not sure if I want leather or a clear hard case.

I have the Charger Trio, I think this what it's called. My Z Flip3 charges just fine on it!
