Nice thinking you going to enjoy that Fold 4 I will be back on big Fold next time around ...Samsung and these US deals trade INS leave us needing to call 800 Phone Addict ..LOL

I figure I can always flip no pun intended it down the road for another phone
So, I’m guessing you traded in your S22 Ultra?

Awesome! Any accessories you picked up alongside it? I haven’t had any movement on mine… scheduled to be delivered on the 26th.

Just a couple of the cases, all shipped together. Hoping the SPen case is decent, last year was awful.

I was given a free case with my order, but I don‘t plan on using it… I only wanted the SPen. And come to find out my order is coming Tuesday as well.

Yes will be trading in till next one ...going to go P6P and Flip 4 for the near future ..good combo I think
Haha.. you haven’t received the Flip 4 and you already have plans on getting rid of it for the S23 Ultra.

Review was solid. But what interest me was when he pointed out why Samsung hasn't copied from other manufacturers who has slightly removed the crease. Which Samsung settled for durability such as water resistance over completely removing the crease.

I wonder where Fold user fall under... value water resistance or the removal of the crease?

I'm using a foldable for 2 years now, and I never had a situation where I wished it had water resistance. Besides the Fold 2 doesn't support it either. I would take a hinge that can be closed in full and with a lesser crease over that.

How many reviewers have talked about the reason behind Samsung's choice for the hinge they use? I think it's pretty much none of them. It's just intellectual dishonesty not to mention it. On top of that, the Find N has a different type of crease, or more like creases. It has two, much shallower creases, and definitely not flat like some reviewers would like to report. Regardless, I would definitely prefer water resistance, over two shallower creases or no crease, especially these days, when I'm wiping down my phone multiple times a day. I don't want to have to be super carefull I don't get any liquid in the hinge. Here's another video explaing Samsung's choice.

Honestly this phone has me considering leaving the world of apple. But my family all uses FaceTime heavily, and I have HomeKit cameras all streaming and recording to iCloud, and privacy on android, let alone a Samsung device, is a joke. But that big beautiful screen and the thin, easy to hold when closed form factor is very attractive to me.

I have a feeling such a switch would go as well as my brief stint on windows phone though, and I would be coming right back to apple. Too many things are just not possible on android that work fine on on iOS. From the phone saying “nice” when I tell it to set the thermostat to 69 degrees to my watch starting my car when I tell it to “keep summer safe” to having a clean and unified smart home app, I think I’ll have to stay on iOS.

Apple, please surprise us with the next phone.

Oh, yeah… you are absolutely right. Reviewers don’t mention it, but they are quick to bring up the crease and compare it to other foldables.

You might be in the minority because I’m always concerned about using my Fold 2 near water… I‘m kind of relieved I won’t have to worry about that with the Fold 4.

My solution was to pick up a cellular iPad to help me stay connected on the go because I didn’t want to go the route of having two phones (no shade to those who do). I’m sure this solution is unconventional… but it keeps in the apple ecosystem. And I prefer having an Android phone over an iPhone.
