I can't believe I am giving up my 13PM for a Fold4. Lol. I was going to wait until the Fold5 to finally get into the foldable game, but I'll give it a try. If it doesn't work out, iPhone 14PM here I come. I do like the extra stuff you get with it, though.

Not coming from but sticking with the S22 Ultra, even though the Z Fold 4 is awesome I wouldn't take it to the beach or on a hiking trip ect.
But for everyday use it be my daily driver now.

Yeah the beach is the tough use case. I use my S22U for the beach, but then change SIM to Fold for rest of week/day. It works pretty well. Only think I need to do is restore messages from Samsung backup to keep texts consistent between devices.
Same with @nospleen. Getting mine today, but Samsung hasn’t followed their official release date especially outside of US.
Part of me.. likes Samsung approach, however.. another part of me like Apple approach. To know everyone who preordered is getting their smartphone at the official release date. Because carriers are not honoring the release date, however I was told Best Buy will not release it early.
I was on the beach 2 weeks back in Koh Samui never give it a thought with my F3, but then I have been using Folds for nearly 3 years so I lost that apprehension ages back

Well, my delivery date says today by 8 pm. However, it has not moved from label created on Sat. Who knows?

I am really tempted to get it, to try something new. iOS is getting boring but I think I would be getting annoyed leaving my iCloud Photo Library and the Tweetbot App behind. Also all my Accounts use an Hide my Email and let’s not even talk about all my passwords being in the iCloud Keychain so yeah I am basically tied to the Apple ecosystem.

Those worried about using the Fold you will see it's not a big deal once you get used to it ...you won't be babying the phone ...I also took it in zipper pouch when at places such as the beach ...no biggie to me ..

Don’t get me wrong.. I like Samsung providing all these deals. But they are really trying to put these in the hands of so many people.
It makes me wonder of the shock and awe of the $1800 price tag... it’s meant to show that it’s expensive, but in the end is it really all that expensive? Given all the incentives that can be attached to it. I understand the price is different in the world, but it is interesting.

I guess it comes down to the US being a market dominated by iPhone (I assume) and its ecosystem that comes along with it. Throwing in the buds and watch kind of opens the gate to the world of „Samsung“ in a way.

Lol. We shall see how long I last, especially with the new iPhone coming out. I could easily sell my Fold4 for it. But, I am looking forward to this new form factor. I used to carry an iPhone and Android with me but it was too inconvenient and I only wanted one device with me.
At least with 2 different devices you can use different pockets
