Except better cpu z fold 5 seems to be rather same as z fold 4, or am I missing sthing??
Isn't it supposed to be 8 gen 2?

But even it they stick with gen 1, I find it so fast that I'm not sure what is there to be gained. Perhaps battery life, rather than performance?

In any case, if Samsung has good upgrade deals, I'll trade it my Flip 4 for a 5 as long as it's no more than 350.

I skimmed through it, being a Fold user for almost 3 years... I kinda know my way around it. But surprised the S-Pen wasn't mentioned.

And with the Fold 5 on the horizon... OneUI 5.1.1 should have some additional features for us to learn.

adding s pen capabilities would have cluttered his presentation, maybe on a separate video

did you see MKBHD take on the competition?

He didn’t have to go over the S-Pen features… but giving it a mention would have been nice.

Yeah, umm.. I found it really strange about how he couldn’t move widgets freely. I couldn’t believe that… seemed like a bug.

But most notably… he favors the cover/outer screen (no surprise) and that’s the biggest selling factor against the Z Fold. And I think this is going to compel Samsung to address that issue.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip will make the battery life really good. That's what I'm mostly looking forward to.

Just sharing on my part

It doest really bother me whether people are for Google or Samsung
Yes I'm the same and thanks for sharing wasn't directed at your posting it ..I meant how peeps see that one article and have to write about how they are now passing on the device ..

End of day we all should know by now there could be a risk with foldables and insurance is probably a good idea ..

While we are at it I might as well post One pitting against the other

I like the opening statement of the video… it really put everything into perspective. This is Google‘s 1st generation foldable… while Samsung is on its 4th generation.

Samsung has had the opportunity to gather feedback and revise their Galaxy Z Fold for 4 years (not including all the research that went into beforehand)… People seem to forget that Samsung had to go back to the drawing board when TheVerge and others reported issues with the top layer of the inner display on the 1st generation Z Fold.

I've seen a few of the units reported and of course it's always concerning for a couple of people, but I also see this with every release including all the samsung folds.. My original statement was about the first article and how people that saw his report were trying to cancel the orders without even seeing the phone in person..

Starting prices expected:

Fold5 - $1,899
Flip5 - $1,099

That probably explains why Samsung is giving users $50 off if they register now. If those are the prices, let's hope trade ins are good.

Since Samsung suffered a bad quarter (due to poor chip demand), I'm disappointed in the price increase (for me the Flip 5), but I'm not surprised.

Yup, I'm shocked. Didn't think Samsung was going to do a price increase... given competition among the Pixel Fold, but as @nfl46 mention lets hope for good trade in deals.
