What's better to get to sell online? The Galaxy 360 camera or the 128gb SD card/wireless charger combo? I am leaning towards the 360 camera. Also, is Swappa the best spot to sell one of the Note 8s? Or would eBay work? I am not opening a Note 8 up until I see the iPhone 8 unveiling because I want to ensure I get the best phone for my buck at that time. BOGO helps solidify my budget since I could spend like $550 now, trade in my iPhone SE towards the iPhone 8 and walk away with $ back in my pocket from selling the Note 8. If not, I just paid $550 for the Note 8 and sell my SE to get $ towards the Note 8 and soften the blow to my budget.

Not trying to rain on any parades, hell I preordered from samsung.com, so I’m in the same boat as you. But is it possible that some of these shipping aren’t the phones and are just the free items like the 360 Camera, wireless charger or SD card? I mean I’d hope they’d just ship them all together but maybe not?

It depends, I think. When I ordered the S8 from Samsung.com (originally the verizon variant as the unlocked versions didn't go on sale at the same time), my pre-order goodies like the VR and bluetooth headphones and sdcard came with the phone. But that was only for people that pre-ordered. People that ordered after launch had to submit their receipt via samsung's promotion website.

Wrong. They do not charge interest. See left side below.

I'd imagine the sdcard / wireless charger would fetch a higher price if sold separately, but either option would likely fetch close to the same price overall. Also, look online to see how much the camera is going for. The prices of those plummeted on eBay when the S8/S8+ came out and people started getting their freebies.

As for Swappa vs eBay, always Swappa, IMO. eBay charges 10% fee on the sale price plus you still pay the 3% fee to PayPal. You can at least charge the buyer for shipping if you want to go that route.

with Swappa, I think at that price point, it's a $25 flat fee to sell and then you pay 3% to PayPal. But, you will have to essentially pay for shipping and/or include it in your sale price. But it still comes out cheaper than eBay.

Can you sell a financed device on Swappa though? How much should I put my Note 8 up for when it ships? $1100? I am going for the BOGO special, especially since I want the iPhone 8 more than the Note 8. If the Note 8 is much better, I am going to gasp... return to Samsung and suck it up.

You can list it, but be prepared for people to ask if it's paid off. Most people won't buy it if it's not paid off, but some will. As for a price, IDK. Wait and see what others do.

EDIT: I didn't realize it was against swappa policy to list a financed phone. I personally think it's dishonest and would never list a financed phone, but didn't realize the policy. thanks for others who chimed in!

I thought the selling fee on swappa was 20 but the buyer pays(added on to the total price), all you pay is paypal as a seller

That is correct.

The price you see on swappa includes the swappa fee. So if you enter, as a seller, $580, the list price will be $600. If the buyer pays your the $600, you get the $580 minus the 3% or so paypal charges.

No. It’s against policy to sell a financed phone on swappa. Pay it off then sell it.

You can get your account locked on swappa if they find out it is still got money owed. It’s a rule on their site to not sell unless paid off. Not even list it.

Doubt it because Qualcomm isn't being mentioned with the iPhone 8, Intel will be. 600 MHz might work for me, but I will use a signal booster and wifi calling to handle bad signal I guess?

Wifi calling has it's own set of issues in my experience. Dropped calls, static, calls sounding like they are underwater, difficulty in handing off between wifi and cellular, etc. I prefer to have native cellular wherever I go if possible.

If you want maximum value for your phone, eBay or Swappa. However, be aware: you are dealing with selling to a person, which means any number of headaches can pop up.

I take a hit but sometimes I'll use maxback.com. They're a reliable 3rd party reseller that gives as good a value you're gonna get from that type of service (won't be as good as the previous mentioned person-to-person sites but no headaches.) Good luck.

I knew it was dishonest and I would never do it, but I didn't know it was even against their policy. Glad it is! again, I never sell a financed phone and I always ask before buying anything if it still is on a payment plan. Thanks for the updated info.

technically yes. so if you list a phone for $600, you're only getting $580 (before paypal fees and shipping costs). I worded it the way I did because you don't get the amount you list it at, because of the fee.

The UK is 0% for the upgrade program I don't know where you are getting 14% from?

This is the small print.
Representative Example:
Based on cost of Note8 at £869. Total amount payable is £869.00 spread across a 24 month term at an interest rate of 0% p.a. (fixed) equating to monthly payments of £32.58 and an initial deposit of £86.90. 0% APR representative. Total cost of credit is £0.00 Subject to T&C’s.

PayPal credit is 14.9%.

You've just reminded me to see if I can get NHS workers discount at O2.
I'm pretty sure you can. I have a friend who works in the NHS and she is on 02

With 02 you can get 25% off airtime...
So it will still be a bit expensive
Also bare in mind 02 network isn't great. Their data is slow compared to Vodafone and EE

Did anyone do the bogo deal with the S8/S8+ with T-Mobile?
http://www.droid-life.com/2017/09/01/t-mobile-galaxy-note-8-bogo-deal/

how long do you have to keep that 2nd line open? I only have one line on my T-Mobile account. If I did this and added another line (with 2 EIP plans), I could then pay off the 2nd line EIP with the prepaid mastercard (right?) and then close that line? or does that 2nd line have to be open for a certain time?

And if anyone wants a T-Mobile Note 8 for fairly cheap, all these BOGO phones will be on Swappa / eBay on day one. That's what I would plan on doing with the 2nd one.

Oh my bad
Think I read wrong...:but that still makes it pretty expensive anyways

You will have to get a sim only contract and most of them are around £20 a month (EE, Vodafone)
So that means you will pay about £52 a month combined....

I haven’t seen any time restrictions when I read the article on TMO News. It sounds like you can do exactly what you stated.

T-Mobile Galaxy Note 8 BOGO deal launching September.

With this deal, you’ll need to buy a Galaxy Note 8 on EIP and then add a line with a second Galaxy Note 8, a Galaxy S8, or a Galaxy S8+ on EIP. After you buy your two phones, you’ll need to go to T-Mobile’s Promotions Center and enter the promo code 17SAMN8BOGO, and then you’ll receive a prepaid MasterCard card to cover the cost of your second device

Anyone having trouble with the BOGO portal page? It doesn't work for me when I try to redeem the promo after ordering both phones.
