Just looking at the colours that the Note 8 comes in for launch. That blue colour doesn't appear to be available in many places and it is by far the nicest colour.

Although, I have to say that pink colour for Taiwan is amazing! I obviously wouldn't buy it myself (lol), but if I was brave enough (and not a guy, more lol) I would as I think it looks great.

The more I look at the phone the more I like it, and I really disliked the S8 in the end so these are odd feelings I'm experiencing. :p

It's the power of the note lol

I don't think I'd get the pink if it were available here because I already have the rose gold iPhone 7 plus and iPad Pro 10.5.

It does look nice though.

I'm surprised that they had the gold here because they haven't had it here for a few years. I thought I'd get stuck choosing between black and blue.

What 25% off your airtime?
That's what I get as well.

You going to go ahead with it?

I think discount with contracts only
Not sure you can get discount sim free

I mean you pay £71 after the discount? That's a crazy amount!

02 are mad expensive

I can get 25% discount with them as well. The reason why I would prefer them is because they do a refresh plan where you can buy your contract out easily...whilst the other networks you are tied down for 24 months

Just got my Note 8 :D.

Side by side with my S8+, it's barely bigger in size and doesn't feel much bigger in hand. The display is noticable bigger and brighter. The reachability of the finger print sensor is a very minimal difference.

Gonna set everything up now.

I'm glad they didn't kill the line or the name, but you can see the logic in why someone might think they'd knock the Note line on the head.

What freebies did everyone get?

The plan that I'm on allows you to upgrade for free after 12 months. You just have to trade in your phone.

We only get the DeX station here. There isn't a choice like in the US.

The reason I ask is because I'm interested in potentially going with 02....

I'm guessing that deal is being able to upgrade every 12 months which explains the price.

EE's got the same price point but 72 a month with them gets you 60GB of data

If it wasn't for the upcoming Pixel 2, and iPhone 8, I'd seriously consider this Note as something to last me through until next year's crop of phones as I loved the Note 7.

I don't really want to go back to iOS but am intrigued with what Apple unveil. And I have a feeling I may enjoy Pixel 2 XL so it may be wise for me to hold off.

I think if I got the Note I'd go for gold though, between that and black.

After a few days with the phone I would say the only thing I continue to dislike is the fingerprint scanner. Otherwise it's a very nice phone. I'm pretty much using a pin code 90% of the time to unlock. The location and accuracy of the read on the 7+ is about 1000% better. That's OK, a sacrifice I am willing to make.

Android, as usual, is not as polished as ios but it's also so much more customizable. It has been quite stable which is a welcome change from from the past. I need to remember more shortcuts as it takes me longer to so the same things on android VS ios.
