I'm honestly over the note 8 and it hasn't even hit my hands, stupid bestbuy and ups
I had seriously thought of buying the unlocked Note 8 from BestBuy and decided against it because I didn't want to wait for them to ship whenever that might be plus the length of the shipping itself.

I just went to T-Mobile on Release day which was Friday and picked one up. Because I paid for it outright, I was able to unlock it already using the app that T-Mobile already includes on phones since the S7/Edge.

I doubt that I will ever preorder a phone again.

For T-Mobile BOGO customers with multiple lines, do you need to keep the new line active at all times with calls and texts? Do you also need to keep that SIM in one of the Note 8s or S8s you have purchased?

so I just did the BOGO yesterday with T-Mobile. They said the sim that comes in the "free" Note 8 has to stay in it until you get your rebate mastercard. They suggested to make a few calls and texts from that phone just to make sure it's activated properly in their system. I did all that and once I get the prepaid mastercard, that Note 8 will go up on Swappa for sale. I didn't even take off any of the exterior protector films or anything. It's ready to go once I get my rebate card :) long 8 week wait...

Has anyone experienced weird things in the camera in bright low light situations? Like at concert? Lots of things on the photos.

Was at one last night and some of the photos and videos have very noticeable like... Green things in the photos? Some sort of reflection?

You can see in the video it comes and goes depending on what the lights are doing. Attached a video and picture as it's more clear what I mean!

Can anyone help?

There were mostly clear photos but then these were very obvious!

T-Force says only a few phone calls and texts need to be made with the SIM that comes with it. I ordered a Black one for me and an Orchid Gray one for my dad. I am going to have him to take his sim out at the very least and use that one tonight. I am contemplating using the temp # as my own until we get our rebate cards.

Are you still gonna keep that new line of service that you had to get?

But in the 3 extra days the device won't have changed. So why has your interest wained?

Youth hath no patience

I've been getting 2 hours a night for the past 2 months, I could've gotten it in store if bestbuy had updated their site correctly. And they said Tuesday and the location held would be near my school and now I gotta pick it up on a day where I don't have class so that's a 2 hour drive for a phone :/. It's more my lack of sleep but maybe it's an omen to just returned the phone. Bleh

P.s i have to sign for the phone and my family is on vacation so I couldn't have it at my house

gotcha, so they said it didn't have to be in the phone the whole time? just needs to make a few calls and texts from the phone first? and then you can use any sim in it? good to know (not that it matters in my situation).

I thought if you cancel the new line of service then you have to pay the balance of the new phone??? That's what I read in the terms.

They keep on giving me back and forth on it, so I have zero idea what it says because their site isn't true terms and conditions. I expected a nice like 10 page document with terms and conditions, not something like an ad with FAQs.

MKBHD has finally posted his Note 8 review.

I love what he has to say about Samsung's use of the pressure sensitive screen under the home button. I've said before it's my favorite implementation of the technology. No need to think about it or figure anything out. Just simple, and there.

Anyway, the video:

will watch later but guessing it's positive

flossy my favourite reviewer says it's the best phone available bar none. Which is high praise.

He's wrong on the battery life though. Many are praising its long lasting battery . Many get almost 7 hours. I get way more than my iPhone 7 plus.

There was no catch?

Nope. Just had to keep that line open until I get the rebate MasterCard. 8 weeks. So have to have the line open and paid on for 8 weeks, which isn't ideal, but it'll work out in the end

I do. But I'm getting $930 to pay off that line anyway.

a better place
eGlobal are now selling the Dual Sim variant for €850 .... that's €500 cheaper than 256gb iPhone X here.

I still really need to have a try on a working model and not the crappy dummy model that carphonewarehouse had last time I tried.

Also .... you may have seen this.

His S8 was like mine re: ram (actually he got 1 more app open than me) but the Note 8 destroyed it dramatically and answers my biggest issue that made me sell my S8.
