Downgrading the S-Pen features, surely that can’t be true.
Oh my, using it as a shutter for pictures was such a killer feature.

Yeah last time I had an Ultra, I barely used an S-Pen but did use it a few times for the shutter, and it really came in handy. If they remove Bluetooth seems a waste of time having it in the device
I use my iPhone 16PM as my daily on my personal line and rotate between my 9 Pro Fold, 9 Pro XL, and Z Fold6 on my business line. Most of the time it’s the 9 pro fold though. Just love that device. Hard for me to completely break away from the Apple ecosystem no matter how hard I try.For those on this thread, do you keep your existing iPhone and then also carry a Samsung Galaxy Ultra? Or has anyone switched completely?

Only justification for the lack of Bluetooth I can come up with is improving battery life on the S25U.If they remove Bluetooth seems a waste of time having it in the device

Yeah, I use the Watch for that scenario now.It is very handy to use for the shutter, especially when taking group shots or resting on a tripod for night shots of the sky.

I’m trying to remember, do Samsung watches have the camera control feature? I carefully use my Apple Watch in those situations. It is very handy to use for the shutter, especially when taking group shots or resting on a tripod for night shots of the sky.

It is a fantastic device. Definitely not as much of a multitasking powerhouse as the Samsung foldable (or Oneplus for that matter) but it does everything that I need. I get the concerns about durability. I do buy the protection plan. However, I believe if you use a reasonable amount of caution and common sense that durability is a non issue. I’ve had every Z Fold except the 5 and both Pixel iterations along with the Oneplus Open and never a single issue. How is the 9 Pro Fold? It does look really good, I’ve just never brought a foldable because of durability concerns.
This was inevitable due to the cost of the snapdragon chip.https://www.techradar.com/phones/sa...ould-spell-bad-news-for-european-samsung-fans
May be a price increase, here in Europe at least. If we in the UK get a price increase I’ll be out, can’t justify buying it if it costs more than the iPhone and or the Pixel 9 Pro XL.
A lot better? I beg to differ, I think each device has their pros and cons… but it’s your opinion.I don’t have a Samsung Watch, i did previously but i returned it, simply because the Apple Watch is a lot better in my opinion.
Yeah, but that would have caused a lot of “Note” fans to lose their minds lol.Would rather they removed the slot and have a bigger battery. Will see I guess

Yeah, durability has definitely improved. I went ahead and bought insurance on it for my Fold 6, but throughout the duration of owning a Fold for over 4 years… I’ve had one issue. It is a fantastic device. Well, when I had the Watch 4 Classic… there was lag when using it. But that’s non-existent on the Watch Ultra. In my experience the Galaxy Watch was laggy, where as my Apple Watch Ultra hasn’t lagged since I’ve had it. Also it’s more accurate during work outs.
Well our options in the US are fairly limited. I’m a Pixel guy, so it’s easily Pixel for me. 2nd would be the Oneplus Open. Very similar form factor to the 9PF, great camera and battery, ridiculously fast charging, and you can get one fairly inexpensive now that it’s older, especially used on Swappa. Still performs on par with other flagships. 3rd would be the ZF6. Still a fantastic device and Samsung has the best UI to get the most use out of a foldable. Just prefer the form factor of the previous two mentioned foldables and the camera performance of both of those. If Samsung released the foldable here that they did overseas, that one might jump to choice number 1.If you could pick one foldable, what would it be?
This is another option I’m thinking about. I’m a musician that plays live a lot and I was actually thinking a Fold would be great for lyrics. Right now I use a phone hookup on my mic stand.
I co-sign. I think any first-time foldable users should go with the Pixel, primarily for the form factor. The only reason to go with a Galaxy Fold… if the user is into stylus support.Well our options in the US are fairly limited. I have the Galaxy Watch Ultra and it is an amazing device. It has never lagged once. Then battery life is so much better than my AWU2.In my experience the Galaxy Watch was laggy, where as my Apple Watch Ultra hasn’t lagged since I’ve had it. Also it’s more accurate during work outs.
I do also have Apple One subscription, which comes with Apple Fitness Plus something that works really well with the Apple Watch. Samsung now have their Galaxy Ring, so that may be better than their watch, I’m not sure on that front.

Personally, I tend to stray away from “x is better than y”… because ultimately it’s tied to preferences. Unless we are comparing some older device to a newer one.I can’t comment on the Galaxy Watch Ultra, only on the Apple Watch and Galaxy Watch 6 I believe it was. The Apple Watch Ultra is what I have now, but when I had my Apple Watch 4 I still found it better than the Galaxy Watch 4 or even the 6. I can’t comment on the Galaxy Watch 7 because I haven’t tried it.

And heck, I had an exchange with one member who thought iPad Mini 5 was better than the iPad Mini 7 (returned it and bought a refurbished Mini 5)… in which I thought didn’t make sense. But since they preferred the ratio to the iPad Mini 5… as a result it was better to them.
