I didn't know this was a thing on Google, and holy crap that's a great feature.
looks like Samsung will be bringing a version of Googles Audio Eraser to the S25 Ultra.

I wonder if I could erase crowd noise when videos are taken of me playing in bars.
I'm still not sure. If I had to put money on it, I'm probably not buying anything and just staying. But I'm just trying to gather all possibilities and make an informed decision.@mjschabow are you not considering the S25 Ultra and going straight for the Pixel? or are you waiting until Samsungs event to see what's announced?

Yep with slab format, that is why Foldables still have more exciting iterations to come IMOagreed...I think with more and more adoption and integration of AI on smartphones, software is going to be the biggest difference going forward.
Whats durability got to do with it if you upgrade annually with a full warranty, like you normally do with your IPhoneApple have got very boring, the only reason I still have an iPhone is because of iOS, my Apple Watch, iPad and all other products that work together.
I have been thinking about waiting for the Pixel 10 IF Samsungs S25 Ultra doesn’t do it for me.
I have looked at foldable’s, while I do like the design of both Samsungs and Googles, I just don’t trust durability. I’ve heard too many horror stories of them breaking.
Another thought I had was to actually switching to fold. That way it’s a completely different kind of experience and would be harder to switch away from. It's why I have an iPhone and an Andriod phone. That way I'm still in the Apple ecosystem and also own an Andriod device as well. Maybe give that a try and see if it works for you?
Are you planning on doing a trade-in?Another thought I had was to actually switching to fold. That way it’s a completely different kind of experience and would be harder to switch away from.
There just aren’t any deals right now.
Yeah Samsung is offering 559 for my iPhone 15 PM. It’s ok I guess but they were offering much more at one point. Are you planning on doing a trade-in?
Yeah, I got my Fold 6 for under 800 (with a 1k trade in for the Fold 4) when it first launched… and later received additional discount of $200 when I contacted them a week later that it was some inconsistencies in how much I was charged at launch to how the discounts were now adjusted.Yeah Samsung is offering 559 for my iPhone 15 PM. I’m not oppressed with going the Amazon refurbished route too.
I’m pretty open actually. I think if I went with a Foldabe, I would want the best software to take full advantage of the foldable experience.Yeah, I got my Fold 6 for under 800 (with a 1k trade in for the Fold 4) when it first launched… and later received additional discount of $200 when I contacted them a week later that it was some inconsistencies in how much I was charged at launch to how the discounts were now adjusted.
And during Black Friday/Cyber Monday… I seen on reddit users were able to get some good deals. But I thought you were interested in the Pixel Pro 9 Fold… not the Z Fold.
Well, the OnePlus Open takes advantage of the foldable experience… it’s planned to announce the Open 2 some time in the next couple months.I’m pretty open actually. I think if I went with a Foldabe, I would want the best software to take full advantage of the foldable experience.

May be a price increase, here in Europe at least. If we in the UK get a price increase I’ll be out, can’t justify buying it if it costs more than the iPhone and or the Pixel 9 Pro XL.
This was inevitable due to the cost of the snapdragon chip.
Thanks! I’d really be interested to see how the app Songbook Pro works on the ZFold. With being a musician, having that app as a tablet style could actually be a huge upgrade for my gigs as I use a phone right now.Well, the OnePlus Open takes advantage of the foldable experience… it’s planned to announce the Open 2 some time in the next couple months.
I like their version of the dock/taskbar (implemented a file picker) and the canvas multitasking feature is neat… get a wider cover (outer) display. My suggestion is if you interested in the Z Fold… at least go and see for yourself if you don’t mind using the cover display.
Personally, I’m not overly concerned with the cover display… do I wish it to be slightly wider? Absolutely! But I use it for quick interaction. I have the cover display configured where the apps (podcast, music, discord, messages and reddit) I use don’t keep me on it for a lengthy period. Unless I’m traveling... doing yard work or walking around in some shop.

Received an email from Samsung a few days ago offering a £50 off code for answering a few questions about the upcoming release.
Yeah, that’s what I enjoy about it. The tablet layout… being able to take it out the pocket and unfold to see a bigger canvas to do more. Biggest reason why I can’t go back to a slab phone. Thanks! There’s no denying that moving parts can potentially be a problem. Hence, insurance… exists.Yea foldables are becoming intriguing. However for me personally I don’t trust the durability, anything that can be folded in half will break at some point. The creases look awful most the time (depending which foldable you go for) and the cameras are often not as good as they are on slab phones.
On my s23 ultra, there is an app called "link to windows", does the same thing. I think it might be part of android, cause I didn't install it.I love having my MacBook Pro out at a meeting and it automatically connects to the hotspot on my iPhone.
That’s kind of where I’m at. If I’m making a switch from Apple, might as well go big and not something that’s comparable. A fold could completely change my lifestyle.Yeah, that’s what I enjoy about it. The tablet layout… being able to take it out the pocket and unfold to see a bigger canvas to do more. And then you bring up the crease, have you tried it yourself? I ask this… because one member had criticize the crease only to withdraw their criticism when they actually used one. The tech world has made such an issue out of the crease… when in reality it’s not as concerning as it looks.
I’m not denying the crease exist, but when you are actually using the device… after some time, you adjust to it. And when Apple first introduced the iPhone X with the notch… it brought so much criticism, now those criticism has vanished. And it’s true… the camera is not as good as slab phones. But that’s the trade off of having a 2-1…
And I’d like to add the camera is not as bad as folks make it out to be… when I’m out, I use my Fold 6 to take photos and it’s adequate. Now, if you are some avid photographer/videographer and you are into photo taking/vloging… then by all means stick with a slab phone.
